I'm sure this has been answered somewhere on the forums, but how does the 286 compare to the 222? I've heard that they are similar and if that's true, I may want to pick one up. I still haven't touched the 222's I found at the CCO b/c I want to preserve them, LOL. I only keep one in rotation right now.
The 222 is more precise and it packs on more colour. If you have more than one 222 you could use one for darker colours and the other for lighter colours.

Dude. I bought my first 2 MAC brushes a month ago and haven't touched them. 239 and 217. I don't wanna stain them!  I feel ridiculous.
I've been using my 217 all the time lately. I don't know how I live without it! It's so amazing for blending. To clean my brushes, I use artist brush cleaner I got at the craft store (Michaels, or art supplies stores should carry it, too). It's in a beige container with a screw-top lid and it's like a soap cake. Works like a charm and I'm able to get the brush looking like new again. Sigma sells a brush case that has elastics in it. I think it's called the dry and store system, but it's seriously amazing. I get my 226, 109 and 217 specifically, but makes all my brushes look like new again. The elastics held bind the brush hairs back to their original form. It's amaaazing!

I've been wondering whether or not the dry n shape was worth it! Thanks for the feedback. I've heard it was good, but mostly from beauty guru's/Sigma Affiliates who paid to tell you that haha.

I don't have a Michaels near by (I'm in the UK, lol!) but I'll keep an eye out. I may try the enKore brush cleanser or something. I always deep clean my brushes after every use anyway so maybe a couple hours between applying and washing won't stain too badly?

I've been looking into that Dry N Shape from Sigma but wasn't sure if it was worth the money due to all the gurus raving. I wanted to believe but because they get such commission I didn't spend the money - I'm definitely going to look into it though!
Haha, I know the feeling! I mostly don't want to use my 222 b/c they've been discontinued though

Aww, thank you!
Thanks! I'll start using at least one more 222 for lighter colors. If I decide to buy more MES (w/ this collection or others), I'll probably end up investing in a 286 as well.

I missed it! I'll pick it up next repromote though if they do it.

The newest additions to my swirl family :)

Boy you got great ones. I know you like the pink in Magnetic Attraction but you got a nice amount of orange. I wouldn't mind one with more orange. Your Bright Moon look really nice too. A nice amount of aqua. Bright Moon is the only MES I skip. So tempting. Neo Nebula looks good to me too - not much white.

Its stressful ordering a backup online. You wonder if you'll get a weird dud
th_dunno.gif
At least thats what I've been wondering about my BU Light Year that I just ordered. The first one that I got to pick out at Macys had lots of the rose pink, but when I went to a different Macys last weekend, all the 5 that they had, had very little of that color so I didn't buy a BU.

This time ordering my BU's online was a good choice!! I cannot believe I went to 5 stores this weekend and now I decide Oh let's get some BU's.

Hope you get a stud and not a dud!

I love Fire Sign but can't seem to get a good combo to go with it. Any suggestions? I thought the gold eye I'm wearing today would work but something is off.

Edit - This post is for Gracie - somehow when I clicked Corally posts - Gracie's pics came up!

I think you have the best swirls I've seen yet.

You must have hand picked them. They are all winners. Your Light Year has a nice amount of darker pink. Star Wonder- great amount of pink and purple. Love the amount of light color in Ring of Saturn. Bright Moon- nice amount of aqua. Magnetic Attraction has an even amount of pink and orange and seems easy to pick out all of the colors. Water - nice amount of seafoam green. Earthly - nice blob of beige. Oh I could go on and on. Love them all!

I handpicked mine and I don't think I did as well as you. Great!

Well I just tried on MA and BM over Nubile p/p (on different eyes - I look crazy haha) and they are both gorgeous! Even better than I was expecting especially MA!

I know exactly what you both mean. Many bloggers seem to be affiliated with Sigma. It is a great product, though! You will get a similar effect with Dustin Hunters toilet paper method, but I like how the Dry n Shape can be placed upside down to get the water out to not damage the brush's construction. PeachTwist: I'm sure art supplies stores in general carry the product. I know dickblick.com carries it as well, but I am not sure if they ship internationally.

Wish I could help, but I haven't seen it around in months (which makes sense b/c it was d/c'd at the end of last year). Have you tried Guerlain Garconne? I've heard good things about that one as well (though it is a quite bit more expensive than even Dragon).

The following info just goes to show we are above average!!! According to a beauty journalist that was on the Good Morning America afternoon show, she said the 'average woman' spends $13000 in a lifetime on MU. She than proceeded to take a mountain of products & threw them in the trash! I was cringing and my stomach was flip flopping at the mere thought of someone scrapping my stash. She believes we only need the following products: 1. BB Cream- as oppossed to foundations, powders, concealor, etc. 2. ELF's multiple stick (can't recall the exact name of the product, but it's similar to NARS Multiple) 3. CG Lash Blast 24 Hour Mascara (I do love the purple tube of this mascara, but that doesn't stop me from owning 5 other types of mascara) 4. Jemma Kid's 2 in 1 Shadow & Liner 5. Revelon's Brow Fantasy She made no mention of lip products! Really, that is ridiculous...

I did indeed! These mineralise products are so hard to predict! I really really want Sky but I'd like to handpick it and can't do so for another month or two as my local counter is out of stock!
Thank you for your kind words, I love everything :)
What did you pick up? I'm sure your swirls are equally pretty!

Urgh, I think I'd throw up if I saw someone chucking that much stuff!
And no foundation or concealer? Really? What if you have crappy skin and wanted to mask it a little??
She doesn't sounds particularly well informed haha
