I was cringing and my stomach was flip flopping at the mere thought of someone scrapping my stash.
She believes we
only need the following products:
1. BB Cream- as oppossed to foundations, powders, concealor, etc.
2. ELF's multiple stick (can't recall the exact name of the product, but it's similar to NARS Multiple)
3. CG Lash Blast 24 Hour Mascara (I do love the purple tube of this mascara, but that doesn't stop me from owning 5 other types of mascara)
4. Jemma Kid's 2 in 1 Shadow & Liner
5. Revelon's Brow Fantasy
She made no mention of lip products! Really, that is ridiculous...
Ahhh! Fellow Specktrettes, don't hate me, but in a way I DO agree with her. While I couldn't bear to get rid of my stash, I can admit that most of it is completely unnecessary. I don't need a minimalist collection like the one she lists, but really, I've purchased 25+ highlighters and blushes over the last 4 months alone...I'll never get through that and I know my collection is tiny compared to most people here.
I actually don't wear a ton of makeup on a day to day basis, despite owning as much as I do. But really, I need my lippies! That's the one thing I cannot leave the house without!!!

BB Creams are fairly new so I'm surprised this was mentioned. I haven't seen any that come in a shade for me so that's out. Multiple sticks don't seem all that long lasting. I'm guessing she meant the multiple stick would work for cheeks and lips. Most of these products look inexpensive except I'm pretty sure Jemma Kid is pricey but I haven't tried any. I was on a site and
I noticed Jemma Kid was on clearance. Are they still producing?
I actually love BB creams and sometimes prefer them over foundations. I've been wearing them for a few years now, but mostly Asian branded BB creams (which are FAR superior to the ones being released in America now). However, shades ARE limited, unfortunately.
Jemma Kidd used to be pricey but as far as I know, it's not carried in department stores anymore. I do know that Target carries a Jemma Kidd line, so I guess they're not marketing towards a "designer/couture" demographic anymore.
Edit: rereading this makes me feel like I don't even deserve to be on Specktra haha.
