omg I tested these at Nordstrom and i ran home to find dupes. The only dupe I could find was Vintage Selection paint pot for Pure Flash. I have a serious dip in my VS and no backup so I have to get Pure Flash right? lol
Oh WHY did I read this!!?? My VS is getting really sad looking too! HUGE scoop out of the middle! I love that Paint Pot! Are they really close dupes? PF seems more golden than VS in the swatches I've seen... Look at me trying to talk myself out of stuff... IMPOSSIBLE! LOL

after swatching I ran home cuz I thought VS would be closer to Superwatt...my swatch of Superwatt was next to PF and when I put VS on top I was shocked to see that it was the same as PF! my VS has the biggest dip! it's worse than my rubenesque...i HAVE to buy PF

Here is a link to some fab swatches of the Loreal Infallible eyeshadows.

Pixie turned me on to these by sending me a few, including Amber Rush and Pink Sapphire! They are GORGEOUS!

I was very good. I stuck to my original plan and only got one - Superwatt. I'm going to play around with it and it I like the texture, wear, etc., I will get the rest of the colors I like when it has its wide release.

BTW - I didn't really care for the brush they had on display. I don't recall the number. Any other brush recs? I'm thinking maybe the 282. The SA recommended "stabbing" (his words) the product to get it onto the brush. He was right. But I didn't like the feel of the brush on my skin. Too scratchy for me. Plus I didn't think it picked up much product even with the "stabbing" motion.

Thank you so much for the link, Shellcat! They look pretty. I love the price ($7 each?), too.

I saw the collection today. The texture was like sponge. Love Power was sparkly, and beautiful. I should go back as I didn't have much time in store today.

So you liked the texture? Was Love Power the only one that caught your eye?

Well I wound up hauling 3 of these. Woulda been 4 but they were out of dynamo. I got highly charged, infraviolet, and fashion circuit. I swatches them in store and they're fun!

I went to Nordstrom on Friday and these shadows were not on the counter, MAC told them to wait until August to put them out. I am going to call another Nordstrom later today.

I can't compare the Loreal Infallible Eyeshadows to these since they aren't available yet on MAC Pro, but the Loreal Infallible shadows are fantastic on their own merit! I have 9 of them now, and I will probably get more. And I'm not usually a drugstore girl either. But if something is good, it's good. It doesn't always have to cost more to be a better product. If these EC shadows are anything like the Loreal ones, I'll be happy to pass on as many of these as I can dupe with the Loreal shades. At 1/2 the price of the MAC ones (and you can always find them B1G1 50% off!) they are a steal!! I just ordered 5 from ULTA during their Friends & Family 20% off sale, so I got the 20% off PLUS 2 of the shades were on sale for only $3.99!
And if these ARE like Loreal shadows and you love them... check out the Loreal line for more shades! They have greens, purples, golds, taupes, pinks, even a GORGEOUS teal (Endless Sea)!

As soon as I get a couple of these EC shadows, I'll let you know how they compare to the Loreal Infallibles... Fingers Crossed!

I popped into Nordstrom today to see these today. To me, these are NOTHING like L'Oreal Infallable. They remind me of BE Buxom Stay There Cream Shadows much more, even alot of the shades are similiar. I hope they aren't like the Buxom ones though, those had zero staying power on me and creased terribly

They all looked pretty. I swatched Love Power as I'm always on the hunt for light pink eye shadow.

I'm going to take a look at the collection when it hits the MAC stores next month. My wallet needs a break.

The l'Oreal ones look gorgeous - how do they wear? I'm with you on buying for quality rather than on higher price point alone. Sometimes there are great quality products for reasonable prices.

For the most part, I only reach for these when I'm looking for a quick look that is still pretty and polished. I mostly use my finger to apply a light wash to my lid and then bring the leftover up lightly into the crease. I will go back and layer the shadow until I feel it's the intensity I want. But definitely start w a light application and layer more light layers on top if needed. I will sometimes use a matte shadow in the crease & to define the outer v, but I have found these shadows don't work so great blended together with each other. Maybe it's the texture of the shadow that makes that difficult. So I pick one of these and then use my other regular shadows to enhance the look if that's what I want. But these are kind of a one-and-done product! Wash on lid, swept lightly into the crease, highligt your browbone, and you're out the door!
The wear time is great for me... I have never tested them by the hour, but I can put them on and they last all day with no creasing. I do use a primer, just because I always do with shadows. UDPP or TFSI works great. I have also used TF Glitter Glue and it's perfect! I do have normal lids. Nothing oily or anything like that. HTH
