electric cool eye shadow

All the talk about the Infallible shadows reminded me to use mine. When I unscrewed the cap this morning, I saw the little lid L'Oreal included to help keep the shadows in place. I completely forgot that they included those! Got me thinking that it would have really benefited MAC to include a similar lid w/ their EC shadows. It would have probably prevented the warped shadows that people have been receiving (I know that it's really easy to nudge the shadows back into place, but it seems preventable).
that is exactly what i thought as well, the shadow "press" would help to keep the shadow surface level.

Do you think these will work well as a base too?

I kind of skipped out on the black grease stick and pretty much anything that could be used as a base...but i would like to try one.

I went to the counter yesterday and the MA said she uses them as a base all the time and loves how they work.

So I got a gift card so I figured I can splurge on these as I'm not really paying for it. Lol. I got Blacklit and Coil. Haven't tried them on the eye yet but feel in love immediately upon first swatch.

I'll be using a primer even though it seems some thing it works better without. Some habits I just can't break I guess. I'll report back...

I went to check these out and I was surprised at how much I liked them. They feel super silky with pretty decent color payoff. I'm wearing Infra-Violet (which is actually pink, not violet). It's a pretty color, but I'm already seeing some creasing 2 hours later. Not sure if I'm gonna keep this one. I also bought Love Power and Electroplate which I think I'll get a lot of use from. Electroplate has a hint of purple to it's taupe color. Great if you have green or hazel eyes.

One thing I just discovered that I don't care for is the packaging. The tops twist off, but the tops are significantly larger than the bases so it's hard to get your grip. Your first time opening may prove difficult if they're on tightly.

Hrm...maybe I'll swap out Infra-Violet for the purple one so I can use it as a base for my purple mineral shadows.

Yes. It's kind of ridiculous! Oh well...
I'll probably get lynched for this, but I'm glad there isn't the same kind of delay between the launch dates that there used to be. Personally, I'd happily pay the cost of a Pro card just to get the discount, forget early buying privileges. It would still be a great value.

It sure seems like some Pro card holders have been abusing the privilege by buying up gobs of product and selling it on eBay; that can't possibly have been what MAC intended. No offense to Pro cardholders, but I like having a shot at getting items before professional resellers raid all the stock. That isn't right.

I can't possibly be the only one that has thought of changing professions just to get a MAC pro card... ;) lol

I was checking out some of my pigments last night and was wondering...

If anyone has MAC Pink Pearl pigment and Infra Violet, if they could please swatch them side by side?

Here is my swatch of Pink Pearl...it's looks very close to me, but I don't have IV to compare it to since MAC online is holding it hostage. Hahaha!!

My order arrived yesterday, and one of them had a loose pan. Easily fixed, but still a bit disappointed. What happened to QC? Anyway, I'm happy with the 4 colors I got and trying to resist getting 2 more colors.

I only got Love Power. It was the only color I felt I didnt have already. I didnt wanna go all out because of:
1. the amount of product vs price
2. this is an unusual texture
3. all the neutrals are not anything i havent seen before

Love Power is AMAZING. But it still doesnt make me want more LOL. My wallet thanks me

it's really disappointing that so many items from this collection and hc are arriving damaged in transit! i remember a long time ago when mac was still a relatively new brand, one of the salespeople told me that they performed QC tests where they drop lipsticks, eyeshadows, etc... from a height repeatedly to make sure they'll be able to withstand the daily wear and tear....i wonder with all the LE items if they're skipping the crucial steps...maybe they should have come up with a special outer package that is cushioned/structural...

LOL. Nope. I've even thought about paying money for classes to get a certificate to get the pro card. Rofl. Ya know, as much as I spend at Mac, it'd probably still be worth it for the discount!! On another note: my haul today was 7 of the electric cools plus the pink lip bag from illustrated (this is my new MLBB!!!) and Neo-nebula from HC. The shadows I got: Infra Violet Coil Love power Pure flash! Highly charged Fashion circuit Dynamo - funny story... When I called the girl told me Dynamo was sold out and I was über disappointed. But it turns out, my normal MUA had already pulled it for me when she noticed there was only one left because she knew I would want it. Now THAT'S what I call good customer service. Lol maybe it's also a sign that I spend WAY too much there when they're willing to do that for me without me even asking or even telling them that I'm eyeing that color... Lol :eyelove:

Amazon.com was like that in the beginning. Almost every order I got a book with a dented in corner because they bounced around the box. I still get mad looking at them when I go to pick one from my bookshelf. Now, they shrink wrap them around cardboard backing. But it took them a while to come with a sturdy shipping solution.

Okay, so you know I am not so great at math, right? I was going to get all of these, but I just figured that is going to be cost prohibitive.

the less shiny sparkly ones are:
dynamo
brilliantly lit
blacklit

the really sparkly ones:
pure flash
superwatt
fashion circuit

I am eliminating the ones I think I can live without, using Liesierre classification system...
