Naynadine,Did we beat the Brunette, Blond, Redhead thread yet? I'll have to look...
I got my Pixie Epoxy today, haven't tried it on my eyes yet. Also got a super pretty pigment sample with it, a grayish-taupe with pink sheen, called Te Amo.
I still love everything I got from this collection, but to be honest, I'm already more excited for Styleseeker now. I'm ready for new powder blushes.
I'm not Naynadine... But I can answer...Naynadine,
I can't remember what the Pixie Epoxy is for. What does it do?
TFGG is definitely more tacky/sticky than the normal TFSI or UDPP primers. Since these primers are made different to grab onto loose pigment, shadows, etc. They really give a great base to grab the product. I don't personally foil my MES if I'm using the glitter glue. I'm sure you could. I just have this weird mental hang-up about doing "too much" to a products and thinking it will getting cakey or look really heavy and creapy... so I tend to avoid doing too many extra steps. It's either foil over a basic primer or dry over TFGG for me. But that's not to say you can't! Maybe someone else could give their stance on this? I will give it a try for you and see how I like it... It will be a good experiment to venture outside my quirky comfort zone....Pixie- do you foil MES when you use it with the TFGG? GG is really tacky right? I mostly only use UDPP but have been thinking of grabbing TFGG
Yes, it does look awesome as an eyeshadow. I used the gold and the rosy pink shades, and they were amazing. You are welcomeI bet LY will look awesome as an eyeshadow too
Oy. Aided by payday and an Olympics Opening Ceremony drinking game, I finally got around to ordering Light Year via the Nordies site. Really excited to try it out, since everyone has been raving about how effortless and lovely it isI'm going to have to go through many pages to get ideas on how to use it!
Buzzed shopping ftw hahaha
That's a great example to show the importance of primers. So i wanted to share some things with you guys. We all know that depending on what color we pick up on a product it can always be different. Well, that's also the case with primers and bases. When I wear Painterly paint pot under Magnetic Attraction the overall color turns out looking more pink. When I wear urban decay's primer potion the color turns out more coral. I swatched those for you guys so you guess can try it based on the results your looking for. I also swatched Expensive pink eyeshadow so you guys can see that although they are similar they are not the same; both in texture and color. Enjoy......
top: exp pink painterly---- more pink
2nd exp pink urban decay primer potion
3rd magnetic attraction on urban decay
4th magnetic attraction on painterly--- more pink
* with flash ( Exp pink on top, MA on bottom- 1st color, mixed, 2nd color)- on Urban decay primer
* no flash

On a side note: I recommend going to Sephora and getting a sample of TFGG before buying it, just to try it out. PE is actually cheaper and if you don't find the TFGG works the way you like, than get the PE and at least if you find that doesn't work for you either, you aren't out the extra cash that TFGG costs. It took me a good 3 tries before I tweaked the application and ended up liking it. So don't give up on it after the first try. It is different than the other primers you are probably used to, so will take a little time to learn... like any new product formula.
Thank you for explainig, PixieI'm not Naynadine... But I can answer...
Pixie Epoxy and Too Faced Glitter Glue are essentially the same product by different companies. I don't have PE but I do have TFGG. I use TFGG as a primer on my lids for Pigments or Mineralized Eyeshadows... same as you would Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Urban Decay Primer Potion, a MAC Paint Pot, etc. as a primer for regular eyeshadows to give them longevity and enhance pigmentation. TFGG and PE really work well with chunkier, looser shadows to grab them and hold them on better. I have had great success with TFGG. I will try PE next, as I have heard it works great as well at a much better price! HTH

Foiling is the term for using a shadow wet- use can wet your brush with water, fix plus whatever you like - the wetness makes the shadow look brighter and often more metallic or "foil" likeI am not sure what foiling is. Could someone please explain this to me and how to do it? Thanks!
Thanks for this! I have been using my mineralized products with Fix+. I love the intensity of the eyeshadows wet!Foiling is the term for using a shadow wet- use can wet your brush with water, fix plus whatever you like - the wetness makes the shadow look brighter and often more metallic or "foil" like
