electric cool eye shadow

Blacklit is the only black shadow I have been in love with except Clarity. It is like a creamy Clarity and makes an AWESOME base for it!
My Clarity is mostly lighter colors, so it looks like soft grey with green and gold iridescence when swirled together, but I bet that'd look great over Blacklit and really bring out that green sparkle.

Did you try Dark Dare Extra Dimension shadow? It's so deep, dark and rich and so blendable/buildable. Perfect non-sparkly black. I guess MAC's got us covered for black for a while!!

I tried it and it is the one ED shadow that did not love me back. It just would not work. My Clarity has a corner with a ton of black so it has been my go to for black.

Wow, I'm surprised. Was it the texture or was the color a little too cool for your skin tone? For me, I WISH MAC would bring out many more ED shadows with the "Glow" finish it has - so rich and luxurious, so much better than the usual mattes or satins.

I ended up with Fashion Circuit, Infra Voilet and Brilliantly Lit... Now I just have to hope and pray that they arrive undamaged from overseas!!!

I am really looking forward to playing with this new formula

It was the color on just that one and how it looked on me! It was not pretty. It looked like I rubbed charcoal on my eyes. I am in LOVE with the ED finish and application, but sadly that one was not my friend.

Last night, I wore Blacklit on the lids (2 thin layers, with the first layer blended outwards and upwards a bit) with Dark Dare EDES under the eyes and winged out in the outer corners. Some black liner in the water lines and voila. I love the look of this combo - these two are my two favorite black shadows. Blacklit's iridescent shimmer is perfect - not so glittery like the Chanel black one - plus it's a beetle shell iridescence, not just plain old silver or gold. I never usually back up shadows, but I think I'm going to make an exception for Blacklit. I didn't back up Dark Dare at the time, but it's still on the Mac site - I'm putting a bit of a dent in it, so maybe that'll get a BU too after all.

For the rest of the face, I used Subtle Breeze MB on the cheeks and Musky Amethyst on the lips in a light layer. It was plenty sexy!

Finally popped into my MAC store today and tested these babies out. I absolutely love the texture of them and they blend like a dream. It's ideal for those days when you just don't have enough time and just want something to slap on to your lids literally. I ended up getting superwatt, electroplate, and pure flash. The only downer is that it seems there's not enough product in them that I know I'd go through these in 1-2 months time.

I think I might have to get back lit to use as a base for clarity! I don't normally get back ups of shadows either but I am seriously considering backing up love power. Perfect sheen of a pink base for all my purple looks!!

I would not actually mind if that did happen for once! Golden memories are better than agonizing over dozens of products that are going to go bad. (My lipglosses

I went in search of Dynamo today. After checking 2 stores, while I was out, I checked the mobile site and saw it was added and promptly ordered. I didn't get Infra Violet. I have bought more of these than I originally planned. I'm still on the fence on the purple on. I did get Electroplate too.

Don't feel bad about missing out on the purple, it is my least favourite of the four I bought.

It didn't blend as well as the others and was also harder to get even coverage.

I didn't even buy the purple - seeing it in person, it was a very average purple color, not rich or complex. There will be better purples this fall/winter for sure!!

I DO love Infra Violet, though - I love that kind of pink with my coloring, but as I get older, the more powdery or glittery versions really aren't as flattering. Meanwhile, Infra Violet has the perfect texture on my skin so it looks beautiful and youthful, while still looking nice and bright. I wore it last night, as a matter of fact, with LoveCloud on the cheeks and Shift to Pink Lip Gelee (from Lillyland) and it was such a good look, I think it's going to become a standard in the repertoire!

Edit: I forgot to mention I used SP Goldstone as a bronzer too, lightly contouring cheeks and on forehead, across nose, plus a little on the shoulders too!

Today was a coraly type day. Love Power on the tear duct, Infraviolet on the inner 1/3, Dynamo in the middle, coil in the outer 1/3 and blended in the crease with naked pigmet to the brow. I patted on more dynamo after I was done blending. I used the 242 and 213 to apply and the 286 in the crease. I used Whiskey liner from UD and did a gradient with the EC shadows in the same order on the lower lash line with EL Sumptious Extreme mascara in Copper. I wore Stunner for my blush and slight contouring with Strada. I wore Flamingo on my lips with Paper Lantern in the center for a pop of shimmer. LOVED it and forgot pictures!
