So, with the whole "limit" thing...

If our orders combined have totaled 4 CYY...if it is restocked, we can't order any more?

That is kinda terrible... Can you do a phone order? I went over and re-read the terms and conditions as well as online sales page. The terms and conditions has a deal about if they think you are buying to resell they can cancel and that is of course up to their discretion but the ordering only 4 is part of this:

Maximum Purchase Policy
We regret that we must limit orders to no more than four (4) units of any item with a maximum purchase of $500 per customer. If you have any questions please contact us at 1-800-588-0070 or via Email and we will be happy to assist.

Now if they are going to say you can't order 4 one day and another 4 another day then that is just silly. Seriously I have spent Waaaay more than $500 on Mac over the past 20 yrs and I don't see them saying oops over the limit sowwies.

I don't see an edit button & I guess that was kinda snarky but it was my way of saying I think it is Per Order or Per Multiple Orders in Rapid Succession more than a lifetime thing.

Yeah it's definitely weird! I've ordered more than 4 of one item a few times, split between orders that were placed back-to-back. I didn't have a problem getting the items! Then I ordered a total of 7 Ruffian Red over the course of a couple weeks and again, I got those. I think MAC having the 4 limit policy makes sense, but it seems arbitrarily enforced with By Request, when other times it's been fine. The MAC rep was telling me on the phone last week that it's $500/month as the limit per account. But again, that seems arbitrarily enforced. I'm still a little cheesed that MAC canceled my order with 4 CYY in favor of reinstating my second order with 2 CYY. Because I was "over the limit". Ok, so they enforced me to have 2 instead of canceling that and letting me have the 4 I ordered first.

I ordered more than $500 in a month before too. When HC creature came out I also ordered a TON of brushes. They are so strange now about this.

I just forgot to add that order can also be cancelled if they look like duplicates. So if you order four Rocker on day 1 and four Rocker on day 2, the system might cancel the order as it "recognizes" it as a "duplicate order."

The $500 max purchase is for one item, i.e. to avoid that somebody order all the stock of one single item which looks very suspicious as the person might just want to sell it. There are also order limits for Pros, but usually it can be sorted out with a phone call. E.g. if you need a specific product for a performance or fashion show and have to use this item on a lot of people, it's very easy to go over the max purchase. If that happened to me, I just called them to place my order and I explained my reason (and emailed proof if required, e.g. cast lists, etc.).

I hope that clarifies this policy.

It's funny. I remember a few years ago, I had ordered like a large amount of products within like a month's period (just started getting into makeup and MAC). I placed an order for mineralized duo eyeshadows when they first came out. I ordered all of them, and they called me up the next day and told me that I had reach a spending limit and they were cancelling my order. I was like wth. I've never in my life heard of something like that. Now, I get worried I'm going to get that call one day when I place an order. It didn't make sense to me then and doesn't now. If you're a business, why would you cap off how much someone spends on your products...

If anyone missed out on Moxie, I'd also trade for Quick S,Pink Friday, PinkPigeon or Naughty Saute. I cab honestly say after swatching all of my pinks, Moxie is an original color, and that;s good considering Macs colors looking alike
