I have RoS and Stratus and they'll be great for fall. If you need any enabling that would be a good reason to get them lol.
I debated a month and half over these, but I've made up my mind to leave them behind. I have enough blush that'll last me a lifetime and then some lol. I am 100% sold on all 4 MSFs though. Now these, I'll regret if I left them behind.

I debated making off with CotU and SW but I have sooooo many msfs its not funny.

I'm still leaning towards SW but not 100%.

I have to decide soon - before I return to work in 3 wks.

This feels like the same debate I had with myself regarding the BR eyeshadows.

I want to see more pics of the looks you guys have created with the ES. I really can't decide which ones to get.
I usually just wear 1 MES wet all over my lid - they are so sparkly and have such depth that you don't reallly need (in my opinion at least) anything else other than mascara and maybe some liner. MES look like you made a lot of effort to come up with this multidimensional eye look, when in fact you've done very little, and that's why I love them!
What colours do you normally like to wear on your eyes?

gracie90, I am the same as you, except for the mascara (I've never liked it on me, so never wear it!).

I wore my MA MES over UD's primer potion all over the lid a couple weeks ago with Powersurge eye kohl on my lower lash line. Gorgeous, and it took all of a couple minutes to do.

I love Fire Sign lipstick on me; not red, but still really pretty. I saw a lot of folks compare it to VG Cyndi, but they are very different on me. Earthshine I am having issues with and don't know how to use it without looking ridiculous (I'm NW 5, at the most). I still need to play with my other goodies too (4 other MES, 3 CSG, LY, and SW; skipped the blushes).

I will try to take pics of my swirls and post them here in the next couple days.

I am NW10, and I have been using it as an MES - the gold sections are especially pretty! I'm not really sure how to use bronzer and contour, but I think it may work like that also :)

Thanks for the suggestion, gracie! I had read where people were using the burgundy color as a MES, but I never thought of the other colors as eyeshadows. Talk about the world's biggest eyeshadow, too! LOL!

I am hopeful I can figure out some way to make it work on my face as well. I'm just relatively new to makeup (aside from eyeshadow and eyeliner), and being so, so pale and so blatantly cool-toned gives me a little less leeway. I've pretty much given up on ever finding a foundation at this point. Nothing is pale or cool enough!

Have you looked into Illamasqua? They have very light colours and if they are not light enough a white to make it paler. Or MAC's face and body foundation (also in white).

MACerette, I've never looked into Illamasqua. Is that sold at Sephora or Ulta? I've tried endless drug store brands, Bare Minerals, etc.

I've never heard of MAC's face and body. My MUAs at my counters (there is no store near me) have told me outright nothing they sell will work for me. Not even Matchmaster in 1.0. From what I've seen and swatched different times, they are correct.

I personally buy Illamasqua online (their UK online shop). I am not sure where it is sold in the US. Perhaps fellow Specktrettes can answer that question?

MAC's face and body foundation is sold in big bottles. I believe they are sold in each MAC counter or freestanding store, but the Pro stores definately carry those. I am NC 15 and I think I am a C1 in Face and Body.

Matchmaster is the most perfect foundation I have come across. Too bad it breaks me out :( I am MM 1.0 which is a perfect fit. That being said, it obviously must be way too dark for you then.

Hth!

Thank you, it does! I will have to poke around and see if Illamasqua is sold here.

I do love Earthshine, so I am hoping I can find some way to use it other than just as eyeshadow. I was thinking foundation underneath might help.

Way back in this thread I said I thought ES was crap. I swatched in heavily in the Pro store, hoping I would not like it because I have been spending excessively this year. It didn't look good swatched on my arm. However, being obsessive compulsive I just had to have all MSF's and I decided to get ES in the end anyway. I must say, I actually like it. I use it as a bronzery type of product. The last couple of days I have been using the 138 brush with it and sweep it on the areas you would normally bronze. You just have to be careful not to OD. First time I used it (obviously not sparingly), I played around with it, buffing it across my face. My husband came in and said: boy, you look filthy brown. Used sparingly it can give you a glowy tan, so the best thing you can do is play around with it for a bit...

Sephora has illamasqua online... I think they only carry select items though.
Yeah, select items and select shades of said items. You'll get a bigger selection shopping on Illamasqua's own website (almost everything, save a few colours of items, ships to the US, and you can view prices in USD).
