well, i usually completely avoid the MAC online-only frenzies......

the hassle to uniqueness ratio is usually too low for me and i just skip.

THIS TIME, though, it looks like I'm gonna have to join in the buffalo stampede, partly for the beautiful, rich color and especially for SEMI-MATTE AMPLIFIED - I mean, what is that all about?????

One thing - I didn't bother with Ruffian and to my surprise, all the nail sets were at my local store last week. It seems they got a big stack of them in unexpectedly, without any forewarning. They didn't even have a display for them - they just stacked a few up at the registers. Maybe as a huge L.A. store, they'll get a few of these lipsticks in too? Here's hoping!
Yes, I don't think I am going to kill myself to get one, it looks pretty similar to Cyber (although the finish on that one is annoyingly uneven) or a darker version of Rebel. Wonder if I could mix the two and come close? I never got a Pink Friday--i just don't have the Level VIII stalking skills required

If I happen to be online when this releases, I'll probably buy it, but if the site stalking boat sails without me on board, I won't be too upset. I definitely know this wouldn't be an every day shade for me, and I already own plenty of vampy lippies that deserve my attention!

^^^^This is what I've said for every online only since the incredible hassle of Pink Friday (when I didn't even get one after multiple tries).

This time, I'm going to stalk, though, because this color is going to be amazing. I don't think it's going to be as dark as everyone is assuming, but it sure will be very greyed out, which is perfect for me. Consider this me, the night of the 4th:

I'm not sure if this colour would be great on me at all. I usually do not do vampy (but I do have Plum Bright and Seasoned Plum). Is this colour closer to Seasoned Plum (which is not at all on me like on T) rather than Rebel?

I think Camden Chic will suit be better (NC red head). I will get it soon.

The greyed out quality kind of reminds me of the really dark prolongwear lipcreme in the perm line...though from memory I think it contains more red than YR. Maybe I have that flipped....

To me, it looks like a shade that would totally fit into the Gareth Pugh collaborations.

It's perfect for pale NW beauties.

That happens at my MAC store too, they don't know the brushes by number at all. I usually just reach around them and grab what I need while they are reading them one by one lol.
Lol I get the "huh" look all the time. I hate when I go into Mac and need brushes, they have no idea what the brushes look like when I ask for them obviously by number, I've had to literally pick them out myself because if i dont, I have to wait for them to look at each number on the brushes, so frustrating.

I hate some of the workers at mac they act like your going to steal something and when you ask a question they don't know anything, but the prostore is much better than the other ones.

The more important question is: Will orders with multiple purchases be cancelled? As the sales period spreads out over a week, I wouldn't be surprised if you can only order one per day (and multiple order will be cancelled).

Some of you girls are so snobby! Some brushes are MSO some are PRO some are limited....maybe the Artist is new or a Freelancer....maybe you are asking for a MSO or limited brush at counter and YOU don't know what you're talking about....

I don't see anything "snobby" about it. I think that's the wrong word. I'm not a snob for wanting the people selling me MAC to be knowledgeable about the products. If I go into the Louis Vuitton store I expect them to know their stuff too. To me, "snobby" is saying I won't wear MAC because I will only let Chanel touch my precious face. Expecting an informed sa is not too much to ask for. When I was a waitress I had to know what all of the dishes included. When I worked for Px & Lancome & Origins I had to know what I was talking about. Same difference imo.
