Oh wow, I didn't know Pink Friday was limited to one per person. I'll do a chat tomorrow to see if Yung Rapunxel will also be limited. I plan to get 2, so I want to know if I can to avoid a canceled order.Ohh, I really want to re-introduce purple into my makeup. When the Pink Friday l/s was released did you find out before or after ordering that only one l/s was allowed per order?

You probably need different credit cards (with different names) along with those different accounts. Sounds like a lot of work.u r so sweet. i hope it works out. otherwise you might have to create different accounts with different email addresses? i dont know you can do that or not...
i kind of get what you are saying, but mac employees in general should know everything regarding the products that they sell. its their job. and if freelancers dont know a thing about products and are unable to help costumers then they should not be working there. i have been making more purchases online because my favorite MA, left. i totally miss her. she knew her business. she would call me and ask me if i wanted to put stuff on hold. even if she found me walking around the mall in her break, before i went to the store, she would tell me to pass by and see the products. the day of the release she would have things ready and then i would tell her if i had a lot money or not and she wouldnot pressure me to buy stuff. and recommended me to get stuff that was gonna sell out quickly instead of things that were gonna be there forever. like in reel sexy she had one heroine already waiting for me. and then told me to leave the cremesheen glosses and get the extra dimension powders instead. i usually already know everything because of specktra. like color story and swatches but knowing that your products are waiting for you on the release day is priceless.I honestly think we should give MAC employees a break. As we know, they sometimes hire freelancers who may not know the brand as well. As far as all of the new things, they may not stalk the websites and things of that nature as we do. I have friends who work for the company and they sometimes go to update a day before a release, or sometimes, they may not go. I do think we should give them a break. If we know that much about upcoming releases, then we should not really need that much information from the actual employee.
Are you referring to the store on Newburry Street by any chance?i kind of get what you are saying, but mac employees in general should know everything regarding the products that they sell. its their job. and if freelancers dont know a thing about products and are unable to help costumers then they should not be working there. i have been making more purchases online because my favorite MA, left. i totally miss her. she knew her business. she would call me and ask me if i wanted to put stuff on hold. even if she found me walking around the mall in her break, before i went to the store, she would tell me to pass by and see the products. the day of the release she would have things ready and then i would tell her if i had a lot money or not and she wouldnot pressure me to buy stuff. and recommended me to get stuff that was gonna sell out quickly instead of things that were gonna be there forever. like in reel sexy she had one heroine already waiting for me. and then told me to leave the cremesheen glosses and get the extra dimension powders instead. i usually already know everything because of specktra. like color story and swatches but knowing that your products are waiting for you on the release day is priceless.
now, there are alot of new girls at the store, and i have actually felt like they just want to sell me the products and be done. i feel like i know more than them because of specktra. that.. i feel like they should do their homework and get inform. mac has an special web site for pros. and they probably do for their employees. sometimes they dont even know the dates when collections are coming out or what products are coming and if they are only limited edition or becoming perm. there is a book in the store with all that info, cant they just read it. there have been several speckterettes saying that all they got was bitchin' instead of info over the phone. their chat people dont know a thing as well.
once i went to the store, one of the girls wanted to sell me a concealer with out trying it on me, because another client came in. how about that?? she was kind of trying to get me as her usual costumer but nope thanks. now i pass by the store and if none of the old girls that i know are in. i order online.
i was thinking about doing one with my aunt's name but we live in the same house. and then if i use my fathers address, we have the same card! You probably need different credit cards (with different names) along with those different accounts. Sounds like a lot of work.
no, the Burlington one. is the same thing happening in the Newburry st one??Are you referring to the store on Newburry Street by any chance?

See, in my opinion that is just bad customer service. In my original post, I said what I said because no one who works for a company is going to know everything. That is just a fact. I am sure they may venture to MAC Pro however if that is what you do all day, most people don't like to take their work home with them. For instance, if you do something all day everyday, the last thing I want to do is talk about it on my off time. I have been purchasing MAC and other brands since 95 and due to the internet, we seem to find out things way before the actual employees. I have told them about upcoming releases and have never gotten upset at the fact that they didn't know what I was talking about. That is a bit much in my honest opinion.
I have been on my job for 3 years and I am STILL learning it...
Quite a few people left.no, the Burlington one. is the same thing happening in the Newburry st one??
If it is a different address, you should be fine. If it is the same address, they might place your order on hold. This happened to me before when I switched CC. It took them three days to sort it out. It was not an LE item, so I was not too concerned, but with an LE release, there is not doubt that the item would have sold out by then.i was thinking about doing one with my aunt's name but we live in the same house. and then if i use my fathers address, we have the same card!
i would love to do cp's but i dont want to be like ohh sorry my order was cancelled because they suspect fraud or i missed it and now its sold out.
ill try that with overnight shipping that way i dont have to be worrying if it went through or not.If it is a different address, you should be fine. The best way to secure a CP is to get it from somebody who actually buys it in store. Just saying...
OK, so I did the chat. Basically the representative knew nothing. They don't have that info yet, but she gave me the number to the Corporate Consumer Communications Department. Their office hours start at 11am EST, so I'll have to call them later.Oh wow, I didn't know Pink Friday was limited to one per person.
