i think black girls would look extremely hot in this lipstick and NEED to get it. SERIOUSLY PERFECTLY PIGMENTED! I'm very pale, so it wont look as amazing as on Azealia but i'll still rock it. I love dark lips on dark skin tones, as a I love brights on pale girls. Obviously the opposite/viceversa as well but my preference is a look like the not-so-good rapper. She looks very sexy and feminine and edgy.

i actually like how dark lips look on pale girls and bright on darker skin lol like you said obviously they go well viceversa but i like how the contrast looks.

Yes, that's exactly why I like her, to me her whole style is definitely reminiscent of the era of people like Lil Kim, Missy, Foxy in the mid/late 90s.
Admittedly I don't pay much attention to the lyrics, because I'm still struggling with my English and I don't understand all of it. Since English isn't my 1st language I don't mind the explicit lyrics. If I would listen to the same lyrics in German I would probably be like ---->

I played around today trying to see what a dark purple would look like on me, because I never tried a color like that. Found a purple eye pencil in my stash that I bought last year and never use and tried it on my lips. It didn't look as bad as I though it would, I actually liked it. Gives a totally different look to the whole face, and I wasn't even wearing any other makeup besides the purple lips.

When Azealia was born in 1991, I should have been graduating from college, but left. I am not a school person by nature, but surprisingly I work at a University and have done so for 15 years now. I love the customer service part of my job.

I honestly think we should give MAC employees a break. As we know, they sometimes hire freelancers who may not know the brand as well. As far as all of the new things, they may not stalk the websites and things of that nature as we do. I have friends who work for the company and they sometimes go to update a day before a release, or sometimes, they may not go. I do think we should give them a break. If we know that much about upcoming releases, then we should not really need that much information from the actual employee.

Nope. If they are a freelancer, then they should just ask someone who may know. Doing that is basic customer service 101. MAC is a trend line, constantly changing; it comes with the territory. It's not hard for them to ask to help a client.

OK, so I did the chat. Basically the representative knew nothing. They don't have that info yet, but she gave me the number to the Corporate Consumer Communications Department. Their office hours start at 11am EST, so I'll have to call them later.

Even when they come in at 11, they don't pick up til 12, lol

Looks redder than smoked purple, and semi matte, where as smoked purple will dry your lips off, lol. Prince Noir was more red. Maybe similar to Night Violet though.

Dark purples like the ones Missy Elliot, Foxy and Little Kim used to wear we're sold a dime a dozen at the local inner city beauty supply stores. I think it wasn't until Chanel's Vamp and whatever MAC has out back then that colors like that became mainstream. I used to buy those colors by the dozen, at 99 a pop. In some of Missy's vids, she wore a beautiful dark glossy purple. I am totally into colors like that. YP looks like it may be something reminiscent of that. Of course I will need to gloss it up. MAC Night Moth and Currant lip pencils make this look obtainable as well. If you like plush glasses, Oversexxed is beautiful over them. all perm items.

Also, remember how quick Pink Friday sold out and Nicki wasn't even THAT big yet. IMO, that color wasn't very flattering on lots of people and very dupeable, and this one is very unique and on-trend for fall, so I would bet that it will sell out fairly quickly.

Nicki was a huge artist in the urban market when this color came out. On everyone else's records. She was very, very popular. I wasn't surprised when this color sold out.

I totally remember Foxy Brown rocking a lipstick like that color all the time. I have a clear image of her in that music video with Jay-Z 'Can I get a what what' song (sorry cannot remember the name).

I don't own Cyber. I've never even swatched it. I think the only dark lippies I've kept are Faultlessly and Dark Deed. I wonder how this lipstick compares to Faultlessly (which I'm not even sure I've worn yet).

Gosh I hope this color is not as cool as Faultlessly. It looks warmer. If it was formulated for a woman of a darker color, I'm hoping it's RIGHT! Lol!

Well I am a metal head and love bands like Slipknot etc so I dont even know who this chick is either... hahahaha

I agree that these kind of lipsticks look amazing on darker skinned girls but pale snow bunnies like me can also pull them off! Its a really vampy colour that when applied perfectly with a lipliner can look so flawless.

Definately think I want to pick this colour up, it will be a good 'extra' to have amoungst all of my bright lipsticks when I feel like something different.
