I can't wait to wear this! In summer I'm all about bright colors and neons and in fall im all rock star goth mix hahaha I'm weird. Its funny sometimes when I meet a new person and then they meet me after a while, they are like oh I didnt recognize you or...are you in another phase? and it's like... nah....i'm just weird like that. My boyfriend lives with me and he still sometimes looks at me like....really, Piar....another style?

shouldnt they wait for it to be sold out to have it for $39?
Maybe they're marketing it towards people who aren't in the states, since this color isn't being offered on any international MAC sites and is only being sold in NYC stores? That's the only way it would make sense IMO. I wouldn't turn to evilbay knowing I could buy it and get free shipping via MAC haha.

They might have also been banking on it selling out early a la CYY and Moxie.

Nightmoth is the lip pencil I've used for years for all my dark lipsticks, but I'm excited to break out Just My Type - that super dark brown lp from Tour de Fabulous for YR. Unlike Nightmoth, it won't add red undertones. It ought to keep the coolness in the shade and not cancel out any blue tones. If YR's texture is right, I do like wearing really dark lippies without a liner too - it gives a deconstructed look - just put on a thin layer, blot, then add another with a lip brush.
Would Chestnut lip pencil work the same as Just My Type?

It's much warmer and a bit lighter - on me, at least. It might add red more than JMT, but it's definitely worth a try if you have it, especially if it's close in lightness/darkness to your natural lip color. I snapped JMT up when it came out, since it's a color that you just don't see enough and very useful! Maybe with all the contouring and 90's style coming back, it'll get a repromote!

HEY WAIT - it's still available on the website. Check it out!

I actually don't mind paying for shipping (well, within reason). If I go to a store, I need to pay for gas or public transport, which is probably more expensive than shipping. Having said that, I still love free shipping, especially if it is free overnight.
Right. It costs me about $7 to take the BART train to San Francisco to go to the closest Nordies to me. Unless I have other reasons for going to the city I may as well just pay for shipping.

The only downside is not being able to try it on in person, which I get particular about when it comes to MU. 'Easy for me to say, though, since my free-standing store is very close by and I get awesome service from everyone there. If I had to drive across town and subject myself to low stock volume and snooty MAs, online ordering would start seeming more appealing really fast.

for ya!" theres definitely some vogue and rain in it, and as a madonna fan i find it beautiful but then i had the volume off.

So I wasn't wrong in my feeling there was some Aaliyah influences... I see "If your girl only knew" or "One in a million" in the 1991 video as far as the Aaliyah inspiration is considered.

Yes, the beginning of the video reminds me of the 'If your girl only knew' video.
