Wow that was perfect for you! I love lipsticks that naturally line my lips crossing my fingers it looks good on me.Thanks! No liner at all!
I ordered last night when it was in stock and got a back order notification. The rest of my order has shipped but YR. I noticed no triangle as well. Weird. I wonder if I'll get it or if it'll get cancelled. It now says "Out of stock - ships soon." ROFL. So there will be a restock?
Richelle - YR is beautiful on you! Rock it!!!
CartoonChic,I need Potent Fig.
Richelle, I like the single layer and the multi-layered YR on you. Both look good.
I saw Potent Fig and the brown one from last year at my local CCO last month. It's the Orange, CA. location.CartoonChic,
Yes, You do need Potent Fig in your life. It is gorgeous.
It is a mattene - love the shade and formula!
I bet you'll find it @ a cco!
WAIT! I think I saw it @ cco in Hagerstown last time I was there in June.
Thanks! I'll see if I can find it. It may still be at my CCO too.I saw Potent Fig and the brown one from last year at my local CCO last month. It's the Orange, CA. location.
La Provocante looks an awful lot like Cunning, from Fabulous Felines, which is to say gorgeous....I just swatched La Provocante next to Prince Noir. Prince Noir applies more opaque and has more red in it. La Provocante applies more sheer in comparison and seems more like a berry purple.
It cracks me up! :lol:Just got my YR in the mail! OK, the first few swipes feel rather sheer, but I think it's just some sort of manufacturing coating, because after removing it then reapplying, it wasn't sheer again. I'm more of a dabber than a swiper anyways.... Also, on me it's an exact color match to Fervent from Gareth Pugh. I tried YR on both lips, removed it, put Fervent on both lips, then removed that and put fervent on the bottom lip and YR on the top. The only difference is that Fervent is a Satin and has a little denser texture. YR is creamier with a more emollient base, but it's definitely an Amplified, the same type of Amplified as Reel Sexy. You can get the exact same color density as Fervent if you do an extra layer, or just do a single layer and the color will seem slightly lighter, but only because it's glossier and is reflecting more light. When you remove it, it comes off easily without leaving a stain. I had zero issue with patchiness. Sometimes I think Temptalia must grip her lipsticks like a lumberjack and grind them into her lips. The only thing is, since it's pretty moist, I would make sure that any primer you're using has fully absorbed into your lips, or the extra dose of creaminess will conflict with the lipstick's texture. If you put balm on underneath, prepare for it to go on very sheerly, again because of interaction between two textures. 'Haven't tried lip pencil yet, but that certainly will absorb some of the creaminess of the lipstick, so if your lip pencil is on the dry side, watch out - it might act like a resist and again result in some weird application issues, unless the pencil is well blended into the lips first. Finally, you're going to have to apply it and let it set a bit with your mouth open, if you don't want any transfer. Once it sets, you're good to go, though. This happens with creamy dark lipsticks - Potent Fig being the biggest offender. YR isn't as picky, it's less picky than Fervent too. On the up side, this sort of texture is great for dark colors, because if you use it on its own, you get this sort of "suspended in glass" effect, sort of like how the cremesheen glasses operate, but in lipstick form. It's lovely and now I've pretty much got a BU of Fervent.
right as always. i would always think how i wanted to buy chanel peridot nail polish... look how many brands have a dupe.. it's sickening. i almost don't want it anymore :/No problem!!! I went to go order the Chanel one last night and it was sold out. Then I see it is back... As backorder... Which means I probably won't get it...
I want this color..But if I don't get it , it won't be a huge deal. Save me 32.00 dollars right? 32.00 I really don't have.
I have Odyssey by MAC... I have a midtone plum "Fantastic Plum" from Chanel ... So I kinda feel I got the trend for Fall without really spending a lot or having to go extremely dark.
However if I don't get the Chanel , I'd happily try Smoked Purple from MAC or there is a NARs matte pencil that is identical to Smoked purple I saw on temptalia.... Or even Nightmoth liner from mac.
Actually Lancome has a purple similar to all these.. I just have a feeling lots of brands will be bringing their version out in the next two to three months.
Still it would be nice to get the Chanel one.
OMG!!!!Just got my YR in the mail!
