First, this lipstick looks great on everyone who's posted a picture! I received mine on Friday and I love it!  I never do lipsticks but this one is very moisturizing and like on Shontay has such a sheen that it looks like a gloss.  The texture kind of reminds me of my kissable lip colors.  On me I had to swipe a few times, but the result was a gorgeous dark purple.  It looked good paired with Nana from NARS but I didn't try any other combos.  sss215 reminded me I should try it with KVD Homegirl. I'll be ordering Nightmoth to go with it.  I can't believe with all the dark purple lip colors I own I don't have this liner.

Got my YR today! While it is an application challenge, I love, love, love it with Galaxy Rose on top! Excited to wear this combo tomorrow.

That's a bit long. I placed my order at about 7:20 am on Wednesday the 5th. Received my order at my p.o. box Saturday the 8th. I chose regular standard shipping.

i had regular standard too...maybe it has something to do with me being in California and my order originated in Kentucky...i placed my order at like 4:15am Cali time too...i dunno i usually don't care how long it takes but i think since lately i've had more time on my hands to notice that this order is taking forever...i'm anxious.

Well. I got mine. Eh. It's okay on me. It reminds me of a less glossy Jampacked lipglass on my lips without a liner. I'll play with it, but will probably keep trying other things out. Maybe KVDs Homegirl, or just stick with some of the other colors I have.

Anyway, here is my swatch spam (which I suck at doing). Of course I forgot to take a picture of the second set of all the little stripes on my arm...'cause that's just what happens when my brain fails.

What finish is Maniac? I really like the Rouge Allure finish. Very smooth and creamy. The new Rouge Allures are even better. I also have one Rouge Coco in Caractère and I like that one too. I'm trying the Rouge Allure Velvet for the first time tomorrow when my order arrives.
Speaking of shipments, my YR order is STILL pending...

I am so sorry for being late to respond to this post. Maniac is indeed a Rouge Allure finish. I decided to bust it out and wear it yesterday. I haven't worn it in ages. I don't remember it being as black-red before. It is pretty dark. Also not as 'streaky' as I remembered. However, you do have to layer it to get the true color/opaque-ness to show up. The one thing I did remember it doing (and it did do this yesterday) was settle in the lines in my lips. I hate that.

Anyways, I had mentioned that I was interested in NARS' Train Bleu. I still am but might not want something quite as dark (although it is a bit easier to control the color distribution with the NARS pencils, at least to me). That is when I remembered my long interest in Dolce and Gabbana's lipstick in color Amethyst. Anybody own that and can post swatches? It is pretty rare in the sense that I can only order it off of Saks website. No stores here carry it. The problem is by the time I would order it, it will wind up costing me $40!! This is why I have put it off for so long.

I got my YR. It applied smoothly for me, and was dark in color on the first swipe but a little sheer. It didn't take much to get a more opaque color. I didn't use a liner or P+P Lip before applying. I compared it to Chanel's La Provocante. They are not the same. Along with being a matte finish, La Provocante is a lot more red. I would describe La Provocante as more plum, while YP is more grape. Lol, now I need a snack. I can post swatches tomorrow.

. YR is beautiful! It's definitely more blue based on my skin. I compared it to Prince Noir and I was shocked that PN seemed more red based next to YR. YR applied nice on my lips and came out quite dark. I guess I can wear it lighter or dark depending on my mood. Now I am just waiting for my Chanel La Provocante to arrive.
I'm very happy with this lippie. I hope everyone else who has received or is expecting it loves it also.

, so I will see what their reactions will be. They aren't into makeup the way I am and usually just roll their eyes at me. I don't care. I love me some makeup.
