Having said all that, though I probably will buy the Charmed and LG and probably a back up of SI to make it worth the trip. I would like to have the BP compact but not at the BP price since I have no need for the product.
Scarlet Ibis is one of the newfangled mattes. There were a few real doozies this year from MAC that felt weightless and non-drying, were really transfer resistant and lasted and lasted. I'm still crazy about Party Parrot, Quick Sizzle and Heroine but Scarlet Ibis has a special spot as my HG bright red lipstick. I like the red lips with nothing else look like you, rather than the Monroe style, which gets a little too cutesy looking on me.
I'm insanely picky about red lipsticks - with all the lippies I currently own, I STILL only have 2 real reds: Scarlet Ibis and Runaway Red. I won't buy any of the Marilyn reds unless they are equally perfect on me, but I think Deeply Adored is going to be flattering on me, and maybe Love Goddess. True reds, like Heartless, are a total washout on me, so I'm not holding my breath on Charmed I'm Sure, and I skippity skipped Ruffian Red for the same reason. I did buy Fire Sign on impulse, but it's a little drab on me too unless I top it with colored gloss that's not also red. I wear it when I feel shlumpy and want to blend into the woodwork.
