MAC for Marilyn

Mac should have done a Marilyn quad with different finishes, that would have been interesting to me! I guess there isn't too much hype around this collection because of the lack of infos!!
I'll be happy with the powder and a lipstick but I'm not really excited..

yes its like a bright orange red but you can tell its red. it just warms your complexion.
i agree.. nothing like sail la vie
This is good to know. I was wondering if Scarlet Ibis would be close to Sail La Vie. It always looks more orange to me in swatches.

they usually do your makeup but tell you, you have to make a min $50 makeup purchase, which if you know you're going to spend more than that why not always make an appt to get your full face done.

I always forget to schedule an appointment whenever I have a $50+ purchase. I'm so focused on getting my items that it never crosses my mind. I must try to remember next time. Is there a grace period to request an appointment after making a purchase, or do you have to request the appointment right then and there?

Hey everyone! im new to MAC but am very excited about this collection. My apologies if this has already been asked but when should i expect to see it online? I know it comes out Oct 4th but is the online releas edate the same? What time of day does it usually go up? Also, how fast do you think it will sell out online?

MAC is known for its unpredictable online releases. It might be up online as early as next week or as late as two days before it hits the store. Thus, if you really want a certain product, "advanced stalking skill" are helpful to get what you want, i.e. you check the website, both MAC and Specktra, every 15 - 30 min. It's usually online anywhere between late afternoon or very early morning (EST), though again, it might show up at another time. Certain products are likely to sell out fast (beauty powder, lippies, blushes...). Good luck and enjoy the hunt :)

Good to have you join us.

Like Mac-Guy said it is so unpredictable. I agree with him on stalking the site and this thread. MAC likes to keep us on our toes. Our lovely specktra friends here are great at looking out for each other and posting as soon as they see that it's up online to let everyone know.

I really like this idea. I ordered two blushes from Office Hours, Mehr Lipstick, and Cleansing Oil last week. My order arrived and everything in the box was soaked in Cleansing Oil...it was so strange the top wasn't screwed on right. I called and they are sending me new products but that really surprised me. If that had been my Marilyn order I would have lost it!
I don't understand, they wouldn't send you new products if it was for the Marylin collection?

argh, im the same... i keep chopping and changing with what I want with this.. love godess and the lashes I think is all I will get from this.

Dont think I can justify the extra price for the dazzleglass. I think that will be all and then I will wait for the holiday collection.

I have pulled my scarlett Ibis out today and forgot how pretty it was... its so pigmented and feels amazing on my lips... I always thought it was more orange than red which is why I reached for Party Parrot more. I am glad I gave it some love today.

Eh I call and reserve the stuff I know I am getting and then go to events. Not talking MAC here but well a few weeks ago when I was doing Chanel event I had the event scheduled and called telling my SA hey can you set aside X,Y, &Z for me to pick up during make-up thingie? I would assume MAC would do the same....

I got an invite to go to the release party on Sept 25th. I'm excited now. The invitations are super glam.

I'm actually still excited for this collection. I really want to see good swatches of the lipsticks, beauty powder and blushes. I especially would like swatches on the lips of the lipsticks.
