I hope not! I'm penniless like others have mentioned. I can't keep up with everything. I don't want to like this collection, but the bold colors have sucked me in already. I'm doomed.
I'm hoping for a lot of new collections :) I don't think that the increased numbers of collection has increased my budget. In fact, I'm not spending more, I'm spending more wisely instead. There is no need to buy everything from every collection. Just choose wisely what you will use (more than once!) and how it will benefit your stash.

I've been pretty good with my choices so far and do purchase things I'm using more than once. I've never been one to buy anything just because. I think I have a well edited makeup collection that suits me and my tastes. Thankfully there have only been a handful of purchases that were mistakes. Usually colors or a formula that didn't agree with me. I have no issues skipping entire collections if there's nothing in it that speaks to me. My problem is that too many collections are coming out with too many things that I like. The lipsticks from Marilyn, practically everything from Glamour Daze, the Archie's Girls collection, and now this collection with beautiful bold colors. Not to mention stuff from other brands. Like I said, I'm doomed!

MAC just keeps us happy. If there would only be one collection every three months (like it was many years ago), it would be very uninspiring. Let's keep it rolling :)

Personally, I will skip large parts of GD, so I should be good for other collections that excite me more.

*please MAC, don't mess this up* I'm gonna need this collection to be epic, especially in the quality dept. Hopefully all new products or highly sought after old, old, old like 2008 and earlier LE products. Definitely excited for this, plenty of time to save up lol.

I'm still confused as to when this is coming out. The original tweet says Fall 2013, which is actually a very long way off- this could be the anniversary of the Carine Roitfeld collection in that case. Or was there a typo and this will be the anniversary of the couture collection, meaning it would come out in November 2012? Anyone? Anyone?

That's what I've been wondering. I'm guessing it was a typo. I can't imagine MAC announcing a collection that far in advance.
Although my wallet would be happy if it actually was 2013.

It might indeed be the couture collection, because I don't think we have heard of another collection that could be it and I don't think Mac would skip the couture collection. It sounds like a cool collab (although I must admit I've only heard his name before and don't really know much about him). If it is the couture collection I would imagine some fancy and bright packaging.

ARGGHH!!! Im excited too when I went googling all of his images last night, and that was the first thing that I thought of was vintage vogue... I am hoping perhaps for some pro products to be released with this collection to make it really arty and creative.
For us artsy people, this is awesome. I studied Lopez in school; his drawings were really influential in the fashion world. If you are into vintage Vogues, you know his name. It's tragic to see how his early death ended his career far too soon. In fact, so many great artists have been stigmatized in the past due to their unfortunate infection with HIV. After so many decades, it's very cool to see MAC dig up his legacy. He will ruffle the feathers of the fashion world, even from his grave.

I love when MAC does collabs with fashion peeps! Two off my favorite things. Excited to hear more. I actually hope it's not till next year, FD will kill my wallet!

i really really want this collection to be in 2013. im kind of broke right now, just by thinking about my marylin and glamour glaze hauls, plus i have to move in oct-nov and limit my shopping. this is kind of sad but im thinking about getting a job just to pay for my shopping addiction, even if i get fired for falling sleep after taking my meds!!!

the mac twitter account states 2013.
Well aware of that, but the title changed to this year.

Edit: From FB
Art. Fashion. Desire. M∙A∙C is thrilled to announce a colour collection celebrating the work of the great fashion illustrator Antonio Lopez. It’s a secret so irresistible, we couldn’t possibly keep it to ourselves. Debuts Autumn 2013.
