Not trying to add to the pile of Vernis but Rouge Carat is LOVE. I was thinking it was such a glowy bright red only suitable for winter holidays but nope... put it on today and it is glorious. The wheel above doesn't look right on my monitor so you might want to google image this beaut before the LE status becomes the gnash teeth for not buying statusjRoxy, they're all so beautiful! I wish I could get Azur and Riva.
I went to my Chanel counter yesterday and picked up Peridot. I was going to order it online, but wanted to swatch it first to see if it would look right on me. I have a hard time wearing gold polish. I tried it on and had to have it! It was the last one my counter had left in stock. I'm going to order a BU of it since it's limited edition. I wouldn't want to run out of this shade. I still have the Peridot swatch on my finger and it mesmerizes me every time.
I swatched Rouge Carat before and it is very pretty. It's on my wishlist. I also received Rouge Noir earlier this week and I love it! Now I'm adding Vamp to my wishlist so I can have the shimmer version. I'm going to a Chanel event this Saturday and will pick up Black Pearl. I was going to order it, but learned about the event and free gift with purchase. I'm also getting Blue Satin then. I know they're not LE, but the colors are gorgeous to me. However, I decided to get Peridot since it's LE instead of Holiday. There was no way I was leaving Peridot behind after swatching it and it was the last one in the store. I'm considering a BU of that shade.
Now I must get Rouge Carat. I absolutely love Famous. Vendetta is also on my list. It's such a pretty purple from what I've seen in photos. On me, Peridot isn't really green. It's more gold with a green/teal tint depending how the light hits it. Not sure if that makes a difference.
I have tried peridot and you are right it is way more golden than green but he doesn't like yellow either so gold is out. I plan on picking it up soon tho and I really think you will like Rouge Carat. I don't know what this gal was thinking doing a major tip wear picture but this is a good one on my monitor. I haven't skittled them but OPI's deer valley spice seems similar in my head but I think deer valley is D/c? I will have to check because it is a favorite in the red dept.

I got Rouge Carat over the weekend, along with Black Pearl and Blue Satin. All that's left on my immediate list now is Vendetta and Malice. The other colors I'm interested in will have to wait. I haven't tried Butter London polishes yet, but the colors do catch my eye.
Ooh I still want Black Pearl! I almost bought it yesterday but I felt like I should get Frenzy and Vertigo first since they are limited edition.
Black Pearl is one of my favourites, but there is an Essie colour that's close if you'd rather save some money. Doesn't have quite the depth of BP. I haven't picked up Vertigo yet, but I'm planning on grabbing it soon. Thanks for reminding me it's LE- I'd forgotten that.
Are you sure Vertigo and Frenzy are LE? They don't show up that way on Chanel's website.
When T reviewed them they were billed as being new permanents. The problem is that sometimes Chanel introduces new colors and other times does LE, like any other company fwiw. Last fall, with the introduction of Quartz, Peridot, and Graphite only Quartz was billed as an addition so it is not that out of the ordinary to have confusion about what is LE and what is not LE. I think April is permanent from this spring collection but the other two were not.. that sort of thing makes it hard to know what is going on sometimes. Most companies, despite the LE vs new additions, come out with a LE collection or a expansion set but Chanel mixes it all up!
It's very confusing. I thought several shades were LE like Black Pearl, Holiday and some others. I also thought some shades were permanent until I found out that they're really LE, like June, Rouge Carat and Coromandel. I have to keep adjusting my list to account for the LE colors. But there are some permanent shades like Black Pearl that I just couldn't wait to get. I hope the other LE polishes that I like are still around later for me to get them.
I played around with the different languages on the Chanel website after your post. I'm very surprised to see what's still available in other countries. Is anyone in Italy willing to do a CP for Nouvelle Vague? It looks like it's still available on the there. Please PM me.
