Sorry - I wrote that this morning in two seconds before work so I should have expanded a bit more! Take everything I'm about to say with a HUGE grain of salt, but I noticed a while ago that she wasn't posting MAC reviews as early as she did in the past (and that the FTC disclaimer was missing) and that they were less detailed than they used to be, so I did a bit of googling and people were speculating that MAC stopped sending her samples/stopped sending her as many samples because she wasn't reviewing the products as highly? I've been following Christine since her LJ days and I would have to say that she used to be a bit biased towards MAC products in general, but I think as she has become more exposed to other products and just being around makeup so much, she has started to develop higher standards, and sometimes certain products just don't meet those standards.

I thought this was a fairly common rumor, but I guess not! I am personally inclined to believe it, because Christine has provided SO much publicity to MAC and her site is such a great resource that it's a bit insane for MAC to not want to get their stuff up on Temptalia as soon as possible! IMO, if she is giving certain products lower ratings, MAC should work on creating products that are higher quality, not taking it out on Christine. IF it is true, I would not hold it against Christine for becoming as disillusioned with MAC as she seems to be lately.

Again, not presenting as fact, and everything is my opinion! Just wanted to clarify my earlier post a bit.

Looks like Facebook has given the answer...Temptalia has just posted a picture of an F review asking people to guess which product. And the description in the picture definitely fits the pressed pigments and that is what people on there are guessing it to be.
Hahaha and I was the first to guess what it was, I'm sure it's the pressed pigments. And if I'm right, she's giving A- to the sculpting creams.

Don't forget Tres Cheek, which was the beginning of my blush obsession. Before that I had two. Now...er....two dozenish? AND I FREAKING LOVE THEM ALLLLLLLLLLLLL...................... :nanas:
did I NOT mention Tres Cheek?!? I am so ashamed of myself right now! What would I do without Lovecloud? Or Modern Mandarin? Or Immortal Flower? now I know why I typed out "Reel Sexy/" originally. I couldn't remember what came after!

Lovecloud and Modern Mandarin are amazing, I think those two are my favorite blushes this year.

Modern Mandarin was the beginning of the slippery slope for me. A colour I loved that would never be a 'daily reach for'. What a concept. And Immortal Flower - a gorgeous spring colour. Another revelation - having different ones for different seasons.

It all gets a bit blurry after that.

Let's not forget Ruffian either. Small but mighty. The Fashion Sets were fun too, as was By Request when it wasn't giving people a brain hemorrhage through the nose. I can't wait for my Yung Rapunxel to arrive.

As if I didn't do enough damage with MAC, it was my gateway drug into NARS.

I totally agree. Though I'm not sure that they are sending less free products just to her...it seems that a lot of blogs are now getting hardly anything from MAC. They seem to really want customers to buy blindly, I don't know what is up with them lately, even color stories are extremely hard to find now...it used to be that we knew them months in advance. Lower quality products, higher and higher prices and a ton of secrecy...it's getting annoying.

I like MM but I haven't used Lovecloud yet. I'm afraid it may be too light since is isn't much darker than Peony Petal and that was far to light for me. I'm going to sell my backup of that one.

On a side note, my blush fetish kicked into overdrive yesterday when I went to my CCO. I grabbed Her Blooming Cheek, Dirty Plum, and threw in Frankly Scarlet, Blunt (love this as as a crease/transition color) and Fever for good measure. I'm wearing Dirty Plum today - it's a gorgeous color!

I wonder if the 215 you would get from ordering on line vastly differs from what's in stores. I like the one I got from the website, but when I went to look at a possible backup in-store, it looked scratchy and choppy - so I decided against it and got another 163 instead.

I re-swatched the pressed piggies using (Liba's - I think?) suggestion of applying with my finger, and I liked the result. I narrowed my list from three down to Deeply Dashing plus Richly Honed and Copper Beech, the latter of which is too light to be used on me as a contour, but I thought it might make a good base for shadows.

They're so beautiful, but still my absolute #1 favorite this year is Early Morning!!

I think my top 5 up till now have been: Early Morning > Modern Mandarin > Fresh Honey > Immortal Flower > Lovecloud, but I think for the rest of the year, it's going to be: Early Morning > Ring of Saturn > Fresh Honey > Hidden Treasure > Supernova

Wow, it was just blush paradise this year!

The one I picked up at the store seems fine. It's still in the bag though. I have been lazy. I will test it out when I get home. From the look of it, the bristles look even.

About a year or so ago, it was going around the boards and the web that MAC wanted to keep the information about up coming collections more private due to piracy and knockoffs. Although the bootleggers still tend to put fake MAC products out there, MAC feels as though keeping products and collections under wraps longer is the way to go. Having said that... There is always a way to find information on the world wide web. I guess a company who has internal controls in place will make out better across the board. As much as I want to know about new products, I don't mind the wait.

I truly believe it's the person's undertones that'll determine whether these sculpting creams are fit for contouring. A lot of the sculpting creams are warm toned and contour in my understanding should have neutral/cool tones to provide the shadowed look. I bought Coffee Walnut to try out and wound up returning it. I mainly bought it for drag/stage make-up to strengthen my contour. Using it on a daily basis was too high maintenance and I prefer to stick with my powder contour. My undertones are golden/yellow and Coffee Walnut worked best for me.

does anyone know if the sculpting creams would be any good on v. oily skin? thanks :)
Hi 27dots, I have oily skin and I set my face with powder. I used a powder puff with the press and roll motion to make sure the contour remained where I applied it.

Well, it sounds like she hated them. Anyone else notice the fall out she is describing? I was wanting to use these as eye shadow, but if there really is fall out, and I am sure that is accurate, it will irritate the crap out of my eyeballs and so not be worth it. I think these will be a skip for me. I love glitter and neutrals with lots of glitter are appealing to me, but not if there are ninja glitter stars of doom decimating my eyeballs and making me look like a disco ball explodes on my cheeks...

Perhaps someone tried a base like TF glitter glue and this neutralized the fall out???
