Love the lippies. Tx Tats!!! I'm so busy at work today. I hope I don't miss this collection if it pops up later today. Let the stalking begin!

I am actually collection fatigued at this point. I bought a lot of red lippies from every where Chanel, YSL, MAC, NARS waiting for these red lippies. I have moved onto Guerlain and YSL again for holiday col which are due out in a few weeks. Waiting for months on end with no swatches and then having to struggle to get something is so yesterday. Just called my local MAC store and put Deeply Adored l/s and Preferred Blonde e/s on hold. I was happy they were willing to do this since I don't get out of work until 5:00 this Thursday when they're releasing the collection, and I was afraid I'd miss out! DA was the only "must have" from the time I first saw this collection, but swatches have convinced me I need the PB e/s too. Oh, and I spoke with the manager at the store, who said she believes the Pro discount WILL apply to this collection...but she wasn't 100% sure. So I'm still expecting there not to be a discount, but if there is, it will be a pleasant surprise!

wait im confused i thought the online release was this thursday and the actual store release is the following thursday???

Edit:: i just saw your a pro so u meant the pro release. lol

I'm really not interested in playing this game; I never have been and that's why most of my collection is perm. I never bought from collections until this year and it's already gotten old. Thankfully my store will hold items for me. I don't mind the waiting for months bit; if we get early information then we'll wait to see swatches or pics. I just don't like the sense of urgency MAC tries to create with these launches.

This is makeup, not insulin. If I don't get a certain lippie, I won't die. It's not like there aren't hundreds in the marketplace to choose from. If I bought nothing but foundation, concealer,powder and mascara for the next two years I'd still have ample choice.

Some love the thrill of the hunt and that's great. I'm just not one of them.

I couldn't agree more...I used to be all over the collections, but now I just don't care. If I get something, I get it...and if I don't it wasn't meant to be. Back when I was younger and only knew MAC, I was pretty a fiend. LOL. But now that I have been exposed to other brands with better quality, I can take MAC or leave it. I like the hype of the collections especially being on specktra and talking about things with everyone, but at the end of the day, I hate how MAC only gives stores a few products and puts things up on the site at random times of night and day. Its quite irritating and in my opinion poor for business.

I'm so iffy about my MAC Counter. I went there a few days ago. Miss Ashley (MA) told me that they only received 2 and 5 of certain items. Then... I realized that the MA's will put things on hold for themselves before they open the doors. I asked, she literally told me that the items that they only recieved two of will be soldout before the doors even open due to MA's holding items. So if you ladies have a small counter like i do... I would be stalking MAC's website!

Sadly, it is not that uncommon, even for larger stores. That's why I let put my stuff on hold months before most collections come out. The early bird catches the worm. I'm still ordering my BU's online though.
