Can't wait to hear what you think of everything! I'm thinking I'll get Showgirl as well, but I'm not as worried that one will sell out. I may try out a lippie or two but it will depend if they're still available when the collection goes up on the regular site.

Got word from the counter that there will be five available lipsticks of each color. I also had a preview, on the condition that I will not take pics. I did try SI, but I did not like how it went on me. DA looked better on me, but I have so many lipsticks of that color family that I am skipping the whole collection entirely.

Limited edition gets a whole new meaning with MAC. Five is a ridiculously small number given that this is the big Fall collection.

Ugh, today got off to a bad start and I was hoping at least the collection would be up so I could order my DA. My 18 month old who stayed up late decided to cry at 4 something for awhile and then wake up shortly after 6 which is early for her. I don't think it's teething unless 2 year molars start this early. I know off topic sorry but needed to vent, I'm sure the other moms will understand lol.

I feel sorry for MAC customers who don't know about Specktra or any of the major beauty blogs. I ALWAYS missed out on LE items pre-Specktra because I had no idea when things were released. I also wasn't aware that you could pre-order at some stores/counters and that MAC (more often than not) releases collections early online. MAC really does a good job screwing over "normal" consumers who aren't willing to lose sleep over cosmetics (or are unaware that they could do so), especially if limited quantities are involved (5, really?!?!)

Does MAC put collections up during the day, or is it often at night?  I feel like I only remember night-launches, but I'm not sure.

If you'll excuse the language, this whole thing is fu**ed. I've been buying cosmetics for 30 years and MAC for 18. I've never seen anything like this. As a businesswoman, I can't believe they run their company this way.

This whole business leaves a bad taste in my mouth. On a go-forward basis, I will spend my cosmetics dollars with companies who do collections a lot better than MAC does. Their perm items are fine, but this nonsense is BS.

5, really? or is that based on the actual annual sales of that counter? i can't imagine.
but red is red so there are tons of dupes, so i'm not surprised. I look at it like this; If you don't get a collection color, you will find something else MAC offers to get that MM look. The only special thing about this collections is MM and her legacy with makeup.

before I got into makeup I walked by the wonder woman collection and thought ill come back later and look at that because I was with my husband. I didnt know it would be gone in a day! I'm late bloomer to make up. I didnt realize how Mac worked then.

It'll be out in the first week of October - in store will be Thursday the 4th, but may be earlier online!

Keep in mind, that 5 units per color is for that particular counter, a department store counter. I was told to be there early. The staff were perturbed at the paltry amount of lipsticks they will receive.
