MAC for Marilyn

i wonder if there will be an online restock today? i can't imagine all the people on the west coast waking up to an already sold-out collection!  

Got everything I wanted, of course I just stayed up all night, but I'm an insomniac anyway.

@ButterflyDior...do you have any counters or stores near you? They don't sell out nearly as fast as online...just go to a counter or store when they open on Oct 4th? A lot less stress than stalking another website IMO. If you don't have any near by, you still have nordstroms, macys, and dillards to order online. Those sites aren't as popular as the mac one, so don't worry, you will get your products!

It's even slightly darker than that.. it doesn't look orangey on me at all compared to T swatches!

Wow. That's beautiful. LOL. The one lipstick I didn't bother getting (and PZ). Oh well, hopefully my Rocker will look like that too!!!

I hoping to get either 2 love goddes or one of each blush at the store. I had planned on putting one LG in a christmas stocking so I am peeved I missed it this morning. I ended getting PZ which I knew wouldnt be a problem and HTM and PB shadows just because I am not sure I will be able to get the blushes or L/s now and I wanted something from this collection for christmas stockings dammit!

MAC said it would launch online September 27th. That means anytime from 1201 am until 1159 pm of today. And it did.

Im actually happy they gave us a time frame this time around, and I hope they do this for each "big" collection launch.

I have a Macy's 10 mins away and a Macy's, Nordstroms, and MAC store 30 mins away.. Thing is I think maybe MAC is no longer at the Macy's where Nordie and MAC store are.

I could do that. Right now with 2 hours sleep I can't even fathom it... I'm surprised that I can even be witty or crack a joke right now... Seriously my mac live chats one line made me chuckle that I wrote... Then again it could be funny per lack o sleep.

thats what I woke up to this time! but west coast time has had its advantages a few times. like it being stocked for us at 9. p.m. our time instead of midnight eastern time.

Hey .. i'm a little confused about this shipping protocol .. I placed my order as soon as the collection came up on the site this morning .. I chose standard shipping - does that mean that my order could potentially be cancelled/told it sold out because people who used Overnight Shipping get first dibs (regardless of time of order?)

Not all collections sell out this quickly. There was a lot of extra hype b/c it's a MM themed collection, so you have the MAC addicts + the evilbayers + MM collectors. I (personally) haven't experienced a launch like this since VV and even then, a lot of it ended up at CCOs! But VV wasn't as big as MM. Regardless, I doubt regular LE collections will be this crazy in the future, haha.

I hear ya and I appreciate your rational words but I'm kinda hurt right now. I have the money but this is ridiculous. It shouldn't sell out in 2 hours especially when they put it up so early here on the West Coast. I know I am just so disappointed right now after all that freaking stalking. I feel like I am kinda done and am not looking at swatches of this collection as it's just salt meet wound. I hope this was a one time thing and I can enjoy Glamour Daze but for now not getting my hopes up. MAC shoulda known this would happen and be prepared. Hell. CYY lasted 12 hours on the site and that is more unique IMO. Thank you for reminding me to not give up entirely on LE but this was a bad way to start the day and it's been a crummy week too. Sorry for the sob story.

If you're able to go to a counter, maybe you can get samples of both foundations to see which one you like. And I'm drooling over Chanel's holiday collection. L'Impatiente should fit in really nicely with the matte Marilyn reds.

YES!!! Most Nordstrom counters are taking presales, but you need to call the counter directly, and not through their CS line.

thanks doll, you are so sweet! I can get the lipsticks at my Macys as I think they will hold them for me. Only problem is that I have a hair appt. that same day & its a half hour south of me & my Macys is a half hour north of me but I think I can still make it work. A little stressful though.
I love peach blushes, so I think it will be pretty. I couldn't believe it wasn't sold out.

I love it when people do such thoughtful loving things like that. Good for you & I hope the kindness is returned to you.

I hope you can get your lipsticks! Do you plan to get the beauty powder as well? If so let me know how you like it.

go to sleep! I think it's safe to say it's not going to launch on any other sites today. Typically they stick with the original launch date... you have a week to catch up on sleep, then go to your nearest counter at opening!

I think this situation is absolutely ridiculous. Hardcore fans losing sleep for these items and then they sell out within an hour, and hour and a half? That just can't be serious. Up until last year I never really looked at LE, but MAC me over lit a spark. I am sure that the hype is good for something, but this is insane and I am sure that in the long run MAC will lose customers over this sh#t. I know the hunt can be fun and getting the items you want is a rush but this is really ridiculous...

By Request and MM will soon come out here too and I am afraid to miss out. If it is because of my finances, that is tough, but if it is because of ridiculous limited time it only gives me frustration...
