Hi, I was the one who spoke to live chat. But I honestly believe that (if this collection doesn't launch today) it will launch on October 1st at midnight. So I might check around then, just to be sure!
Well, assigned release dates for YR and By Request, and for the most part stuck with them. MM was the first collection in recent memory that MAC assigned a specific online launch date and I applaud them for sticking with it! MAC needs to continue this in the future, so that people don't feel like they need to stalk the website for days/nights on end (just the night before
)! I hope that this sets a precedent for how MAC handles online releases.
For everyone who missed out this morning, don't lose hope! There's always the in store launch, plus all the various department store websites! I'm sorry for all those who wasted sleep on this collection, I truly hope that everyone gets what they want. BUT, in the off chance you miss out on something, please don't stress out! I know you're disappointed, but please remember that while we're all here for the same reason (hello, we're makeup addicts!), no lipstick, blush, eyeshadow etc is worth the physical stress you're putting on your bodies (i.e. lost sleep). Plus, there are always newer, greater things on the horizon!
This is also a reminder of how important it is to develop good relationships with the MUA at your local store/counter (if you have one within reasonable driving distance). Sometimes, they say you can't pre-order, but if you've already established a good relationship with someone there, the odds of being able to put things aside are much higher!!!

I do really appreciate your light of reason. Ya, being tired is making this seem harder. Honestly it's just freaking makeup lol. I have Rocker so don't need DA or anything like that. I'm not gonna swear off of MAC or anything like that. I enjoy it too much to do that lol. But, I need to focus more on the fun of it so I can enjoy it more. Plus, I have a small but decent collection (small by specktra standards lol) and need to use it more anyway. I guess I just feel like I wasted all that time and now feel stupid lol. I'll likely get VG1 at some point plus the money goes to charity. If I could get to my local pro store this collection releases there tomorrow but to drive 30 minutes to maybe get the 1 lippie I want seems like a lot of work and I don't wanna drag my daughter around for nothing too lol. Wowwww seriously??? These people just ruin it for everyone. I also find it a little shady that first they say "four fabulous lipsticks", then later it says "this trio", and after THAT it says "Both lipsticks..." Ummm so if you pay this insane price that they're asking, do you get 4 lipsticks, 3, or 2? Maybe it's just someone who typed without thinking, but Idk...something's not right, IMHO!
