I ordered a BU of the BP. If it turns out I don't like it as much as I thought I would... I will gladly swap/sale it to anyone who missed out.

2 hours....that's all it took for everything to sell out at the pro store. thank god my items were on hold and I made my friend charge my card when I was on break at work. I am taking no chances on holds and another MA might sell my stuff to someone in the store lol

To be honest with you i'm not sure how the whole swapping thing works. Im very new to this and the whole process. I havent received my order yet. It should be here tomorrow. We will see if the BP is worthy of needing a BU. I plan on using it as a all over face powder (NC10.) I'm not sure how it will work since i did order it before seeing it in person. Sorry for my ignorance but what does MU stand for? lol I've only been buying from MAC during the last year or so. So most of the items that really come to mind would be older MAC items. Older MSF's

I ordered not too long before it sold out and received my shipping confirmation about 2hrs ago with standard shipping so hopefully everyone should have their goodies on the way! I passed by a MAC store right before work @3P and they had the collection out! I asked the MUA was this for real!! She said that they were launching today. I asked what happened to the 4th, to which she said no, today was the launch date. I came back around my lunch break just to swatch everything to make sure I was happy with my L\S order &I lovveeeeee CIS. I didn't expect to, didn't want too, considering "it's just another red". But it's such an everyday wearable red that just brightens the face. I received so many compliments wearing it. I went back around 9P to get a BU and it was sold out already. I did manage to get a BU of DA which is another great everyday red. For some reason, I wasn't too crazy about LG, I guess it was the finish. Either way, I'm more of a red than pink fanatic. Im just super shocked how quick everything is gone. But don't panic ladies, still more options coming in the week. Keep Calm!

The lashes are very long, they stick out straight instead of curling up, plus they are designed to be longest in the middle for a really round wide-eyed look. From what my MA was telling me, they used to be perm and got discontinued when there was a supply issue with the type of hairs that were used. His experience with them was that he felt they needed just the right type of eye shape to pull off, since they're quite exaggerated, but that some people get them to look a little more normal by curling them with an eyelash curler. Even still, plenty of people consider them their HG lashes - while I was in the store today, a gal who swears by them came in and bought three pairs and wished she could buy more.

One good thing, my MA had an inkling that they eventually may come back again and/or be made perm again if they've solved their materials supply issue.

My SA at Pro today told me that these will be permanent, so even if stores are sold out, they should be getting more. She also said it's best to buy them in-store because they can differ from one to the next.

I hope you can get the bp, BUT just like I predicted last year with Elude, I really believe that there is a continuing underground fashion trend in the direction of more 80's style pale and matte face products. Sure, it's pretty specialized right now, but just like in the 80's, it could eventually grow into a trend where all skin tones could get their equivalent retro-matte, no suntan, geisha girl/porcelain doll items. I think we'll be seeing more products like this floating around each year, just like we saw more and more different kinds of bronzers, and now more and more different types of contouring products. So chin up! There will be more and better Eludes and Forever Marilyns out there!!!

Absolutely. And when you look at the face charts for SS13, this trend continues, especially in combination with detailed contouring and highlighting.

All the MUAs at the event in my store wore them and I thought them to be exceedingly beautiful. Like liba said they are quite long in the middle, but I really liked the effect those gave!

So I missed this on line and have been super bummed all day-- especially since I will be out of town for work on Oct 4th and won't be able to get to a counter. THEN my dear darling husband offered to go to the MAC counter when it opens launch day with my wish list in hand!

! Now I have to hunt down a BP

Just going to vent my frustration! Arg, I received an email from MAC letting me know the collection was up, and as soon as I go to the site, almost everything was sold out!! The only thing I wanted to buy was the perfect cheek, and of course that was sold out too. The closest MAC store is 6 hours away from me, sooo. I'm out of luck, unless the site is restocked. End rant. LOL.

I truly hope that everyone else had better luck than I did.

You might want to try online dept. stores like Dillards, Macy's, Nordstrom's, etc.

Secretly, I bet MAC is going to do a re-stock.

I was at my MAC PRO Store at 9h58 this morning (it's open at 10h00) and I was the first to enter in the store and... Some of the things was already sold out (lashes, liner...) ! And only ONE beauty powder was there !!! I take this one ! The MA said that they only receive 6 of each products and because they was a seminar last night some of them already buy products from the collection! I was really happy to have everything that I want ! I bought 3 lipstick (all of the reds exept SI), the beauty powder and the perfect cheek blush !

I've never worn false lashes before. Never ever. They look tricky to apply but it can't be that hard because tons of people wear them.

Last night before drifting off to sleep I was studying the MM graphics on the MAC site and was admiring the shot where you can see her long, lush lashes.

Perhaps when I go to my local MAC store for the event (heh - this will be interesting since a majority of the color products sold out) I will try the lashes.

I'm so happy I stumbled on Specktra yesterday morning around 7:30 am and saw the posts that said the colliex was in the site map.

Thanks to the ladies who posted that.

I was able to b/up LG l/s WHICH I LOVE so beautiful w/beet liner - def an every day l/s! and pick up the bp.

As noted before my crazy, amazing sister jumped on the collex too - she was able to cp LG for several lovely ladies who missed out.

I still believe MAC is going to do a re-stock.

It probably won't be much but what do you wanna bet???

Thank you, Liba, for the detailed reviews. I am so happy to hear the good things about the BP. I love Elude and have been on a peach kick lately so will love to have a peachy type of elude product. You are making me want Love Goddess now too, and originally i didn't care about the lipsticks at all. I only got one of each blush the BP and the lashes. Can't wait to play with the lashes. I love getting all the limited edition ones even though i only wear lashes on special occasions.
