Thank you!!LOL, I had the hardest time formatting my post when I copied and pasted my Nordies live chat!
Pixie, you look beautiful! And I agree about FM. I was actually really disappointed. When I swatched it in store, I was so sad to see how ashy it was on my hard. I tried buffing it in, but it wasn't worth the trouble. Too bad, the compact is beautiful.
Pretty Kitty, belated happy birthday !
I was going to use my Nordstrom Notes on my pre-sale, but I forgot my gift card at home!!! (I transfer all my notes to a GC so that I don't have a million of them in my wallet. Plus it's more convenient for online orders b/c I can use a larger amount of them at one time).
Ah. Back to the long drive to Vegas. Almost there!
I read Liba's review, and it is "right on the money." Elude is a bit too white for my taste. This bp is perfect for me.I am SO happy to read this! Liba never steers us wrong. I got to snag the last BP today so I am very excited. I'm sure that everything looks lovely on you!
This is a really good idea! I got two Forever Marilyn's one for my friend as a surprise, she's much lighter than me prob a NW 20 and will prob go very well on her. I got one for me as well, but now I'm thinking it will not work for me, but I'll try it with the fix + when mine comes in the mail to see how it goes on NC 35 skin. I was thinking worse case scenario I can always depot it and put one of my skin finishes in it instead( I think you can do that right??) or just keep it in my makeup as a mirror I think the whole concept with the BP is to get that old hollywood soft powdery look...When I first put Forever Marilyn all over my face.. I was like blah. I then put my blush on and sprayed my face with fix+ because it did emphasize dry spots. I love it! the fix+ almost activated the sheen effect.
So pretty! My MM FOTD!! LG with Beet Liner (PERFECT match... a must-have if you have LG!) TPC w/ FM BP lightly layered on top (TPC is nice, I don't have any of the dupes, so I'm glad I got it. The BP is NOT a must-have in my opinion on NC30/35. It wore VERY light and very close to ashy. I'll give it another try, but it wasn't a "wow" highlighter shade like Light Year is for me. I had to layer LY on top of FM to get rid of the ashiness. And I didn't overapply FM either.) PB e/s on my lids, Moleskin to warm the crease, Showgirl e/s layered over Moleskin in crease and outer v. (The shadows are nice and the packaging makes them worth it for me, but they are absolutely dupable shades.) Blacktrack Fluidline Fascinating e/k on lower lashline and inner corner
Which lipsticks are you getting? It's nice when you want something that isn't LE!I'm going to see the collection in person on Thursday as well as B2M for four permanent lipsticks.
Why not sell/swap to someone who missed out?Would I be an ass to return my Marilyn items before the collection is out? :haha: I think I'll wait until Thursday or Friday to return the BP and blush. Until then, I think I'll give the BP another shot, tomorrow maybe. The blush (Legendary) is just a lost cause on me.
Awwww thanks for the compliment - I DO try to hit on everything that's important to me (Virgo detail oriented combined with Pisces over-enthusiasm about dress up!) plus i DO DO DO love being able to go on and on about something I love with all of you kindred spirits! Thanks Specktra!!!I am SO happy to read this! Liba never steers us wrong. I got to snag the last BP today so I am very excited. I'm sure that everything looks lovely on you!
This times a million!!Ahhh, my Chanel lovin sisters
Everyone NEEDS to own at least one Chanel lipstick in their lifetime.
I'm thinking of B2Ming for Rebel, MAC Red, Lickable and either Speak Louder or Chatterbox.Which lipsticks are you getting? It's nice when you want something that isn't LE!
There might be someone here more than happy to take it off your hands at cost. I've only kept one item I really disliked (Camden Chic) to 'sell or swap instead returning because it will be destroyed' because now I'm stuck with a lipstick I should have just returned in the first place and guess what? I'll never wear it and it will end up being tossed by me. I won't do that again.Would I be an ass to return my Marilyn items before the collection is out?I think I'll wait until Thursday or Friday to return the BP and blush. Until then, I think I'll give the BP another shot, tomorrow maybe. The blush (Legendary) is just a lost cause on me.
LOL You are hilarious!
Darn it...NOW I want LG. The promo pics and swatches didn't seem like anything special. It looked like a color I could probably come close to duping since I have so many bright pinks in my collection (a couple of them red-leaning like LG). But these pics make me want it anyway! Thank a lot, Pixie!!!My MM FOTD!!

For some reason I have steered away from the careblend powder. I'm oily and thought the products would break me out.For now, I would REALLY recommend the Careblend powder if you're looking for the perfect doll look - it has an amazing finish that's less matte than FM, but it's not sheeny and you can get a more matte effect by using a powder puff or soft sponge to apply without it looking powdery (the puff it comes with works quite well in fact). It also feels absolutely weightless and comfortable on the skin, which I really value since most powders make me feel coated after a while (MSF Natural, I'm looking at you). It's also very very gentle, with a emollient, non-drying effect, which my dry skin loves very much. It does a good job at absorbing sweat and shine too, even with the moisturizing aspect. BPs can be hit or miss for me, since sometimes they're too powdery, but Careblend is an HG, works for more casual skin tone evening over bare skin or can look very finished and proper over foundation. It never leaves my purse!!!!
138 for me!!! My personal favorite full-face powder brush - so soft and plush and the point gets in all the nooks and crannies. I've only tried Forever Marilyn over foundation for now, but I will surely wear it over bare skin.....try using a nice hydrating serum and/or moisturizer first, then applying the powder before all your skin products have fully absorbed. You can do a little spray of Fix+ afterwards to remove any excess powdery look. I use Elude like this 90% of the time, since I usually only pull out the foundation for evenings out or those especially blotchy times of the month.
Back To MAC. MAC's recycling program.Since I'm new here can anyone tell me what B2M stands for?
I won't be in the city the 4th wahhh... At least we all have each other's backs which will make the stalking of Nordis so much easier Good luck to you too girl!!UGH ! See that happened to me when I went to Grand Central location ! I went and they told me no preorders but they did it for someone else on this forum ! The grand central location did tell me that they will be taking phone holds at 8:00 a.m. on October 4th if you can't make it in by then so you can do that as a last resort!
