MAC for Marilyn

For some reason I have steered away from the careblend powder. I'm oily and thought the products would break me out.

I need to get some more Chanel lippies. I'm also out of glossimers.
oh never! it's so gentle and weightless on the skin. if your skin is sensitive, Careblend is very non-invasive. In fact, sometimes skin can get an even oilier reaction out of frequent use of products that are intentionally drying, as a counter-reaction to feeling dry. My best advice is to try a light application of it during the time of the month when your skin feels the most strong and stable, just in case, but it's very easy on the skin overall, and very finely milled. it's my favorite powder in years, since I couldn't get my old standby Shu Uemura loose powder so easily anymore, plus it looks awesome in photos and is very age-defying.

My MM FOTD!!

LG with Beet Liner (PERFECT match... a must-have if you have LG!)
TPC w/ FM BP lightly layered on top (TPC is nice, I don't have any of the dupes, so I'm glad I got it. The BP is NOT a must-have in my opinion on NC30/35. It wore VERY light and very close to ashy. I'll give it another try, but it wasn't a "wow" highlighter shade like Light Year is for me. I had to layer LY on top of FM to get rid of the ashiness. And I didn't overapply FM either.)
PB e/s on my lids, Moleskin to warm the crease, Showgirl e/s layered over Moleskin in crease and outer v. (The shadows are nice and the packaging makes them worth it for me, but they are absolutely dupable shades.)
Blacktrack Fluidline
Fascinating e/k on lower lashline and inner corner

Agree to both. I'm NC35/30 and unless I use a light hand and buff like I mean it, I can see the cast on my face. I won't be using it as a highlighter, maybe just on bare skin every once in a while. I like sniffing it, though. lol! BPs always smell so niiice to me.

DA is like a matte version of Lime Crime's Glamour 101 on me, and CIS is just slightly brighter than DA on me as well. SI was the same as my Apfel version, so that's a plus. Overall I'm most pleased with having another Scarlet Ibis and DA.
Now I don't feel so weird for being obsessed with the smell of mineralize products. I

it.

Sorry you had a rough day :grouphug: I hope you can get the bp, BUT just like I predicted last year with Elude, I really believe that there is a continuing underground fashion trend in the direction of more 80's style pale and matte face products. Sure, it's pretty specialized right now, but just like in the 80's, it could eventually grow into a trend where all skin tones could get their equivalent retro-matte, no suntan, geisha girl/porcelain doll items. I think we'll be seeing more products like this floating around each year, just like we saw more and more different kinds of bronzers, and now more and more different types of contouring products. So chin up! There will be more and better Eludes and Forever Marilyns out there!!!
Awe thanks hon  I used to hate my paleness, but I have come to love it. I'm so pale in some pics my face gets whited out by the flash lol I regret missing out on Elude. It was just too expensive for me. I'm hoping it comes out for regular price someday.

I am beyond shattered... I had ordered the items I wanted (LG, DA and the BP), only to have MAC cancel my order 10 minutes later :( So upset!!

I'm in Australia so though the collection will launch here soon, I definitely can't stomach paying whatever the ridiculous prices will surely be (probably $70+ for the BP).

When you ladies say that Nordstrom usually launches at midnight - midnight in what time zone?
