I got my lipsticks today. I immediately put on LG and it pulls pink on me. I couldn't be happier and the bonus is that the husband wasn't excited about me ordering anything pink but he really likes this one. He gave me the go ahead to buy a bu to which I

As If. I think he understands the ninja shopping mode and listens to the they sold out in half an hour stories without realizing that getting a bu is ummm hard.

I think CIS is my favorite of the 3 fwiw but all are totally lovely.

I missed the Nordstrom launch. Sighs. I just called the counter 10mins from me and she said no holding or Pre orders so I'm going to be there around 930am. I just want charmed I'm sure, deeply adorned and the perfect cheek.

I'm not sure, but I have a bunch of cards from when she was younger up until one that was from near the end of her life. All of them are inscribed with her signature in gold.

Well, my Nordstrom Mac Counter just let me pre-order Love Goddess no problem... its weird how some counters aren't allowing it and some are

Lmao my hubby has to hear the sold out stories too, and I show him the eBay stuff he's like ok get it, I text him after each think sold out lol it's cute he actually listens; at least he acts like it

I agree about the blogs. They are extremely helpful for swatches/reviews but it does inflate the hype to crazy levels. I wonder what casual MAC consumers (not us) do about collections? Or is there no such thing as a casual MAC LE buyer? lol

actually i use to be one of those a long time ago. LOL
i have a few random LE items in my collection from 2001-2005, which i picked up (and sometimes tossed/gave away) without giving much thought to...but at the time i didn't think too much about the covetability aspect of 'LE' items. i use to think it was kind of less desirable to buy something that i would be unlikely to find again if i got attached to it. times have changed....

I'd say the casual consumer probably doesn't know what they're missing when they see a display with just a few things left since there isn't anything to swatch (unless they get to the display just as it sold out and they're switching the products over). From what I can tell, they usually aren't looking at the packaging and seem to be more drawn to the huge color selection instead. Marilyn and Disney might be different though.

If I had the choice, I think I'd rather the blogs go away and I'll take my chances with the color choices since you can always return them if they don't work out. That's JMHO though.

AHHH that;s how I felt when I missed the MAC launch and Macy's!! But there is still Dillard's and MAC has promised that it will restock so you still have a pretty good chance

Are we CERTAIN!!! MAC is going to re-stock? Where (in writing) did they promise this?

I wanna see that promise!

They have yet to re-stock CYY and Moxie from By Request (besides the tiny refresh they did on the US site).

My mom has been swept up in the hype and she wants DA and CIS. Egads!

I guess presstoblend and I will be @ Nordies Thursday morning to get them for her.

Through twitter/facebook a LOT of people have been complaining about the sellout and MAC has been responding that we should keep checking the site. I think they will restock and it will either be a little restock gone in a flash or it will be like bloggers obsessions and there will be plenty. Hopefully the latter.

I just got my nordstrom confirmation e-mail and a lipstick cancellation notice. lol I haven't been able to get a MM lipstick. One day hopefully.

Sooo Devastated!!! I can't believe that I have missed each online launch I have never seen anything as crazy as this and have been stalking the sites each available minute I have! If there is anyone out there who did a double purchases just in case and doesn't need all the items would be willing to help me out, I'd really REALLY appreciate it! Looking Love Goddess and Deeply Adored :'(. I'll try my luck at my local counter on Thursday morning, but rarely have any luck when I go! :'(

I was getting anxious not being able to see the collection online at Nordstrom, so I called my local store and ordered a few more items. They don't have it out on display yet, but my favorite MUA pulled what I wanted and will ship it out on Thursday. I thought I was done with MM since I have all of the lipsticks, RRR nail lacquer and the beauty powder (which I love as a highlighter) and a lip pencil, but I decided to get TPC blush and Vintage Vamp nail lacquer. I was obsessed with getting them and now that I've placed my order I can breathe. This is just sick!!
