They all look GORGEOUS on you!!! Reds are really your color. I can tell that you have the BP on. It is so amazing that I never ever want to be without it. They need to make the BP in a full body jar

Thanks for sharing your lovely pics
Thank you! I'm only wearing FM on my cheekbones, middle of my forehead and down the nose. I'm interested to see what it does when I put it allover.
It's so wonderful to be able to share pictures even when your hair isn't perfect and still people give such nice compliments. I love that about this place!

I'm pretty sure some of these auctions are from Pro members, since I've seen a few that are for pre sale or are listed as "not available yet." I do wish MAC would track down these sellers, but like a few people have pointed out here before, MAC makes the same money if they sell to a regular customer or an Ebayer. Therefore, it's not their top priority.

Wow. It's truly sad what these lipstick-scalpers are doing. Makeup is supposed to be about self-expression, beauty, and artistry.

I have to say as an artist, it's becoming less and less exciting to launch big name collections when we sell out of things so quickly. We are already sold out of the lipsticks and we put them out yesterday. LE collections should be about offering the consumer a very on-trend, timely product that wouldn't usually sell year-round. That was my understanding as to why we have them. Fashion and celebrity trends don't last forever, so we offer these collections as a way to show our customers that they can achieve a cool, trendy look for right now.

Instead it feels like we are given a very small amount of products to sell, buzz is generated so strongly beforehand that people start building up anxiety, and then all of the most exciting products are gone within the first few days.

In a perfect world, we would offer truly 'limited life' collections: we have these products available from October 4th - October 31st, and then we retire them. They will be available to everyone for that whole time, not just until we sell out.

I get the logistics of why this doesn't happen; it's impossible to tell how many of each product to make, etc. But there is no way that going into the launch of Marilyn that they didn't know all the lipsticks would sell out in 48 hours. It's happened too many times before. So quadruple your production numbers, at least! I mean, how am I supposed to sell the look of Marilyn Monroe without the quintessential Marilyn Monroe lipcolour?

With that said, not all of my passion and excitement for this collection is gone! I'm still happy to see a collection that is so iconic and so celebratory of a true American legend. The colours are stunning and as an NC15 alabaster-humanoid, I am loving the Forever Marilyn Beauty Powder! And of course any chance to see my beloved Beet Lip Pencil in the spotlight ;)

Finally the collection arrived to Spain, only to Pro stores though. I paid my stuff this morning (BP, LG, Legendary) along with some other bits (Studio Careblend PP, Plum Foolery blush, brow set Clear) and my package should arrive Monday!

But that auction started at $0.99. In that case, I say more power to them. Those bidders are choosing to pay that much.
lol so true I showed it to my husband and he said "wow you should put yours up on ebay" I was like

if i was mac i would tell ebay that i want my products off their site just like OPI did with transdesign (which i thought was awful cause their prices where amazing!!
ohboy.gif
) you can also track the sellers by their paypal accounts. their home address and their real names. which you can then compare to your data base to see if they are pro, workers or regular costumers. they just dont want to do it. im pretty sure no one is going to pay those $450 so they can rot in hell with those lippies!!
What's so disheartening about this whole sitch is that even if they can shut these people down, they'll still have all those stockpiled prods that no one can enjoy for a reasonable price now

.
Although, hopefully if they could really crack down on this and sellers are repeatedly unable to sell then they'll stop.

I almost forgot! I have a Marilyn facechart for you guys :) Perferred Blonde, Wedge, and Espresso on the eyes, Legendary blush, and Redd + Charmed I'm Sure for the lip. I am so nostalgic for the old days when we had a ton of facecharts launching with each collection, available online. Now they are just at counter :(

Belk has Pure Zen (only 3 left) and DA in stock, I wish they would just sell out. Because it's tempting me to order DA, which I didn't even want in the first place! Aghh! I've never heard of Belk until now, I guess it's legit since they have stores in Texas too. Lol.

Yeah I guess that is true. I certainly have paid more than I'm willing to admit on some collectibles from ebay

. I think the most I ever paid for a MAC item was $30 though and that was for Lollipop Lovin'. Totally worth it.
