I was able to preview this collection at the Newbury Street location in Boston. I went straight to glamourdaze because I figured the sets would be around for longer. She literally was opening it for me. The lovely SA told me that it's a good idea to pre-order since the quantities were limited. Lipsticks: I loved most (4/5) - The light pink one. The purple one would satisfy purple fiends as it is opaque and doesn't skip. I pre-ordered Glamourdaze, Outrageously Fun and Innocence (i think). EDES: MUCH SMALLER than ED release. Size about the size of regular mac eyeshadow. Price: SAME. Out of them all, the only two really unique ones: A natural flirt and the "we thought it was taupe" one. A natural flirt is NOT like sweet heat. It's like Pure Flash EC without the glitter. A very natural looking pale champagney color. The other one was not taupe. It leaned way more purple than taupe. I preordered it but I suspect it has a dupe. The other ones were all EXTREMELY similar to the EDES of April. The light pink = young venus. The grey was exactly like Warm Thunder. The steely shade I didn't like (was it supposed to be black?). The purple one reminded me of one of the purples from EDES. The blushes looked dupable!

It says $70 next to that instagram pic and apparently there's a 129 brush included as well.
I can only imagine the Euro price... probably 79 at least.
I can see how it would cost that much, the question is do I love anyone enough to buy it for them

I may still be there when you get there. Hope to see you.
thats so nice of you, but I am coming with a coworker. Its okay, I think at 7:30 they will still have everything in stock, and if not, there is always the online and regular launch! thanks though!!
No real specifics here but I wanted to share an email I got from my favorite Nordstrom MAC counter manager. She's like alot of us..a bit jaded due to having so much makeup and pretty much seen it all. And she normally hates Nordstrom Anniversary stuff and Holiday stuff. When she gets excited, I take notice because it rarely happens. As an extra bonus we are skin and hair twins with the same taste.

Hi April! So, holiday…THE BEST EVER! And I’m totally serious when I say that. EVER. Of course you can preorder with me. Lets do it soon, I received my allocations this morning, and I want to get a head start on the madness that is surely to ensue. We have already preordered quite a bit just over the weekend. There is a Nordstrom exclusive, I love ALL of the color collection because they were very mindful of appropriate color this year. Just like you said, lots of purples, warmer…not some crazy lime green or sky blue items…which they have done in years past. This was pointed out to me at my MAC manager meeting a couple weeks ago. There are these DARLING “touch up” clutches. They hold a light, med or dark touch up powder, a little powder puff and a sheen supreme lipstick. And when the product is gone, you can take out the insert and use it as an actual clutch! It’s ridiculously cute. Part 2 comes out 11/8, same as years past, 3 different gloss sets and 3 different metal pigment sets. I’m never too crazy about these, however, they come in the most adorable mini hat boxes. I could go on and on…but I swear…BEST HOLIDAY COLLECTION TO DATE!!!!!!! We are having our Glamour Daze event 10/26 thru 10/28. Please come if you can!! The look book is in store! Come take a peek.

Is the quality comparable? I just have to ask, because I know its a lot for one eyeshadow but the EDES are so different from almost all other shadows, I would rather focus on a few than get a UD palette with shades that are dupes for stuff I have. Just being devil's advocate

(and probably MAC slave) here. I do love UD eyeshadows, don't get me wrong & the Vice palette has some nice, smokey-jewel toned e/s.
I could break my lipglass no buy for it. We'll chalk it up to skipper's remorse from never getting an AMPL.
Looks like a slightly redder version of Yung Repunxel too. ITs a must for moi.
Thanks for that breakdown. IF GD is really like Offshoot, I will get it and maybe a BU because I love that color, it is my favorite MLBB. I never scored a PEtals and PEacocks so I would love an Outrageously Fun, esp. in special packaging. Will it be white again like G&I?
I am going to try that. Well, I don't have Nightmoth but I have Deep Purple by NYX and its close...
LOL you know what, I am kidding myself. I can't skip these extra dimension eyeshadows. I love the ones I have. They layer so beautifully over paintpots and maybelline eye tattoos. I've second thought about the Vice palette and I really want it, but I don't need it. I thought it was $59 CAD, but its actually like $69. I would rather splurge on the MAC holiday this year. I am just hoping that the prices aren't too ridiculous. Make up seems to be going up and up in prices these days. :/

I'm thinking I want the green eye palette, the green pigments, 2 of the lipsticks (Innocence and Glamourdaze), Mystery eye kohl, and the unique EDES.

I'm kind of disappointed about both the size (small) and redundacy (to the last launch) of the ED shadows but I love the formula and would definitely have skippers remorse if I didn't buy new colors of it.

The rest of the sets look nice but I may just wait until they show up at a CCO....

The more I think about this collection, the more I think I might skip the individual GD items and just go for the sets! It's a 180 from last year where I picked up (and backed up!) several of the individual products—MES, paint pots, beauty powder—and only got one set, the purple crushed pigments. On the bright side that means more time to make my budget!
