So, my Marilyn story has a happy ending!
Everything was sold out release day at the counters/stores when I called. But my Dillard's counter got a shipment in today for their Marilyn event!
I ridiculously waited for an hour outside the store and phoned in my order 15 minutes before it opened.
I am now the proud owner of the beauty powder, the Perfect Cheek, Love Goddess, Deeply Adored and Charmed, I'm Sure!
I don't know if they have sold out yet -- there were maybe seven or eight people there right after the store opened. It's the MAC counter at Dillard's in Arlington, Texas -- 817-784-6873.
Ok So I called to see if they had love goddess and they are out BUT they did tell me that they will ship limited release collections.

gggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Bloomies canceled my Silver Screen e/s due to lack of stock, but they wait days to tell me so no other place to get one. I hope everyone is finding what they want.

Just wanted to thank OhSoJaded for the CP of FM and CIS. It arrived today and I am so happy. I love the compact and am so glad I got it. Can't wait to play. Now if my 19 month old would understand that lol. She's going through a demanding phase, well more demanding than normal lol.

i had a makeover today and it was just plain depressing. the mua did my eyes very nicely, but the foundation she put on me was wayyyyy too dark! i didn't realize till i was in proper lighting, of course. i look orange! i don't understand why they keep mac counters so dark.
i was originally planning to get a perfect cheek, but the mua talked me out of it -- she said it would be too light to show up...well i guess since she thought i was much darker than i am, maybe this makes sense. but i wish i was more assertive, i should have just said i want to try it anyway!!
i ended up getting two of the eyeshadows -- how to marry, and silver screen. not the two i would have guessed i'd go for, but seeing as that's what she used on me and i thought it looked really nice, i guess it's okay.
i also got a new pro palette. it's strange though, she and another sales person told me they don't do inserts anymore (which i know is incorrect), but are the inserts only being carried by certain stores? anyway, i just wanted to get out of that store. it's so strange, i usually have great experience with them, but the last few times i've just ended up disappointed somehow.
...oh she used charmed i'm sure with cherry lipliner, and applied venetian lipglass on top. great combo!

Hey unrelated to Marilyn but what would be the best foundation by MAC for oily skin? I need a grown up foundation and don't have bad skin just want something to give me flawless skin for those days that I want it lol. I guess that's kinda related to Marilyn as she had flawless skin. Thanks!

You just reminded me that I have Cherries in the Snow. I have to try it soon as it's now the season for it. Gotta love the Revlon price tho. I do miss the vanilla smell when I do wear mine. I have more MAC lipsticks then any brand so am so used to it. I have CIS but I think the Revlon has more berry tones to it.

I had placed an order of "Love Goddess" with Nordstrom and finally it got cancelled. That's the only one I wanted and couldn't get it at the store at 10 pm on release date as well. If anyone has an extra they don't want and are willing to CP, I would be grateful.
