MAC Holiday 2012 Glamour Daze / Fabulousness / Guilty Passions Collection Discussion

Those of you who have seen the EDES, how does their size compare to the regular MAC pots? About the same?

I really love the EDES formula and want the lilac, nude, and taupe ones, but am concerned about the size. I also really want more swatches!

I think I'm in for the taupe fluidline and 2 of the eye kohls as well (Mystery, Orpheus) but all this can change at any moment LOL .

I'm definitely skipping all the lippies, for all of them I either have a dupe of it or it doesn't appeal to me. Same for the lipglasses.

Pot wise they look the same but inside i feel that they are just SMALL...lol but my friend says they are the same size as a regular eyeshadow. guess when u are used to the first round it's hard to get used to these

I got the color story for two LG from the purple set. they are Boys go Crazy and Going Casual...i saw it on missmauimac's instagram....i cant read out the other one and it only shows three out of four in her picture

Ugh! I really like Small Vanity blush and the Luscious Pink lip bag set now...and who knows what else i'll fall in love with when more swatches appear. I'm supposed to be saving money to go on an anniversary trip with my hubby to Japan in March/April. He says if i keep spending money on makeup i wont be able to do much shopping once we get there.

ahhh I WANT! but ugh the price :/ I haven't preordered this & I'm sure it's sold out by now
but I'm debating if I should really buy it considering I still need to get "tall, dark & handsome; beauty lipstick, outrageously fun and the green & purple pigment sets) already spent $60 on three things I pre-ordered this would all be like another 140

I'm currently watching the Avengers, and I noticed that a MAC store is all charred and blown up




It made me sad to think of all the destroyed imaginary makeup But amazing film!

I watched the film for the first time last Sunday, but missed the burnt Mac store. I guess I was too busy checking out the hunks instead

Wow the price increase in the Netherlands is ridiculous. I know that we had a sales tax increase recently, but that was just 2%, while Mac hiked up their prices by a few euro. Naughty Mac!

So the US prices are also more expensive than usual with this collection? Is this because of the special packaging of some items?

I will try to limit my purchase to 2 fluidlines and 2 EDES:

• Catch My Eye - Cool taupe grey with dazzle pearl
• Little Black Bow - Charcoal with dazzle pearl
• A Natural Flirt - Soft peachy nude
• Stolen Moment - Dark taupe

I'm still in two minds if I will be getting anything from the small sets, but the packaging is just too adorable.
I wonder how Stylishly Merry will compare to the fuchsia shade in the recent EL Violet Underground palette. I hope those two shades will be very similar, so I can skip.

That sounds nice. I went mid-March, but don't recall seeing cherry blossoms. I went with a tour group. Loved every second, and my favorite activity was going to Kyoto and dressing up like Geishas. It took forever to get the makeup done, and twice as long to take it off. But it was so worth it and a wonderful experience.
