Oh no....this is very disappointing....I was hoping for new colors!

So sorry. I know Mac is getting ridiculous. It's like no fun. Holiday and it isn't even Halloween yet. Well, I went to my Mac store today to inquire about pre-orders. The SA took me in the back. I've never been back there in the 10+ years I've been shopping there. Wow! I was the first to touch the displays. I don't know if I can help anyone or review anything because it was just so overwhelming. I ended up getting less than I thought. That doesn't mean I won't go back but I got the most important things now.

I got:

  • 2 hanging bags - 1 for me and 1 for a gift.
  • all 3 new fluidlines
  • all 3 pencils except for feline - they are backups for me
  • the light colored lipgloss - don't remember the name but it has multi colored flecks in it. I'm a sucker for these type of glosses. I don't you can see the flecks in swatches shown so far.
  • only 2 EDES! - the pale one - it did looked duo chromey to me and Divine Blue
  • Everything That Glitters nail polish
  • Green pigment set

They actually didn't have the pigment sets out but I remembered as I was checking out to ask for it and they got it out for me. The box was smaller than I envisioned but it'll work I still want something with a colored leopard bag but I don't know what. The eyeshadow duos all had a permanent color in it. I don't actually have the colors though so it may work. I may go back for a brush set too just because I love the travel case. Not a good reason but I really like it. I skipped Glamourdaze. It was a cremesheen and felt so thick swatched on my hand and the color looked so familiar. I figured I had a dupe. The lip/cheek sets were nice but the colors weren't anything different. I did really like the blushes but I'm on blush overload. I also don't think I need anymore peach colored gloss at this point.

Oh man! I just realized I didn't see any eyeshadow kits with the 5 colors in it! Weren't they coming out with the first set of gift sets? I was considering getting one of these. I guess I will have to call about them.

I did swatch Tall, Dark and Handsome. I originally was going to get this but I didn't really see any shimmer in it. I swatched it on my hand with a q-tip. The SA said it was more gray than Dark Dare but it looked black to me. I didn't have them to compare but I skipped anyway. Anyone else check Tall Dark and Handsome out? Liba??? Am I crazy? Was there no shimmer in this one? I did like the silver one so I will probably go back for it or order online.

I didn't even look at the blushes. I'm overwhelmed with my blush choices. Forget the billions I had already but I bought an insane amount of blush this year, not to mention since summer. So I don't even want to look at blush. This is why I didn't look too long at the blush/lip set. One of them had a corally pink blush. I keep buying corally pink blushes too. So I put it down fast.

Well, my store let me pre-order by buying a gift card which they will redeem on release day. I wasn't too crazy about this but I was fine when they told me I could pick up my stuff next week. Now of course, I'm sure everything will launch online tonight or tomorrow and then I will have to wait until next week to get my stuff. But I think I'm good with waiting. I bought so much stuff recently that much of it is still unopened. I bought 3 MM products and have only used 1 of them one time. Not good.

Hi All! I've been reading here forever but this is my first post! I went to the party tonight and wanted to share some product pics in case they were helpful for anyone. Sorry for the not great photo quality.

Here's my haul minus the eye pencils I forgot to include.

Eyeshadows in Stolen Moment, Divine Blue, A Natural Flirt, and Stylish Merry. I have all of the shadows from In Extra Dimension and these were the only ones I felt weren't dupes. Ready to Party also seems more purple than Young Venus, so I'm thinking about that one.


Here's a size comparison for the eyeshadow with Sweet Heat from the original release, A Natural Flirt from Glamour Daze, and a regular eyeshadow (Honey Lust).


Blushes in Easy Manner and Small Vanity, and Fluidline in Feminine Edge.


I have some photos of the MAC exclusive kit and the hanging vanity that I will try to upload next.

i swear when you are there trying to see the stuff and swatch fast so other people can move and see, you know keep the thing going cause there is a line outside , you look at these women and wonder if they cant afford alcohol!! a vodka bottle is cheaper than a mac lippie now.. not kidding smirnoff $14.50

Here is the MAC exclusive kit they listed under the heading Divine Desire. The color is Quite Coral. The outside quilting is pretty nice, and it feels sturdy. I don't know that I'd carry it around as a clutch though, seems like it would get dirty easily. The other set in Paramour Pink was pretty as well, but I thought the blush and lipstick looked like things I already had.

Exterior and the box it came in.


When you first open it there is a satin pocket in the top half (the brush is in here) and a plastic divider.


When you lift up the divider there is an insert with the product in the bottom half.


The set includes a 129SE brush, blush in Born To Love (frost), lipstick in In A Heartbeat (cremesheen), lipglass in Pure Flattery, and Technakohl liner in Photogravure.


Close-up of the blush. Note this is smaller than a regular blush.


Swatches from top to bottom: blush, liner, lipglass, lipstick (I am NC25).

Ok, since I haven't posted before today my posts have to be approved so hopefully I am doing this right and everything shows up ok. One more set of pics, this is the hanging travel bag. I don't normally like leopard print but I think this is pretty cute. It comes in the box shown in the back of my haul picture. It is plastic with a ribbon tie closure, and black hardware on the hook and zippers. The leopard and lace print is on the clear plastic overlaying the satiny peach colored lining.

Oh, the Burlington store is tiny, though Newbury is not much better in terms of size.
No event for me but I picked up my stuff already. Now I'm just waiting for the online release to get my BU's

yes and it was crazy. im going to the nordstrom counter on thursday to pre order the polishes and maybe some Bu's of innocence, outrageously fun and flight of fancy.
