Nordstrom holiday party?
That was news to me too. I got a call from my local Nordstrom while I was away, inviting me to a big holiday party on Saturday. The message indicated they will have models wearing new fashion trends, and will be doing hair & makeup. I'm not going because I'm tired and winding down from my recent trip, but I will be ordering a few items by phone.

I tried Little Black Bow Fluidline. It applies with no issues, which is good. Comparing Little Black Bow and Catch My Eye in the pots they look kind of similar. The good news is that they're not. Little Black Bow is a dark gray. Catch My Eye is a silver taupe. The color differences are also visible on the eyes. I applied one color on each eye to make sure. I've decided I don't need BUs of any of the Glamour Daze Fluidlines. I do like the colors and will use them, but I won't reach for them enough to warrant BUs. The dazzle pearl/glitter texture isn't something I'll wear often.

Little Black Bow - Catch My Eye - Feminine Edge

Round two with Feminine Edge. It still applies clumpy. I'm not sure if its clumpy texture comes across in the pics. I used my NARS Smudge Proof Eye Shadow Base as a primer on one eye and it did help some. The application of Feminine Edge seemed more controlled with the primer, but still a little clumpy. I'm going to wait for more feedback about Feminine Edge from others before returning it.

Now, here's something I would like to know from all of you makeup pros out there. Am I possibly missing the point of Feminine Edge? Is it supposed to be clumpy on purpose? I did notice that the clumpy texture almost seems to make it look more glittery. I'm not sure if this is the intended effect that falls under some sort of makeup trend, or if it's simply a mess.

I have the MAC large brush roll and I LOVE it. I use these items solely for traveling. My brushes fit snugly so I know I'm protecting what I see as an investment (albeit in my makeup addiction). Some folks complained that it was too tight but IMO the snugness prevents them from slipping out. It also has an inside zippered pocket. I paired it with the rectangular carryall (handle & shoulder strap) that has a mirror, inside slots and pockets, and is deep enough to hold MAC Pro-sized eyeshadow & blush palettes. Depending on how much I've packed, I sometimes have enough room to place the brush roll inside the carryall. No regrets whatsoever on these purchases and I have used them a lot, including on trip from which I just returned tonight. SO WORTH IT!

where did you get your carryall? is it for makeup?

I have far too many brushes to permanently store in the brush roll and I'm not sure you'll be able to store your 15 ++ and growing brush collection in it either. You might be able to, depending on the types of brushes that you have. I use about 15 brushes per makeup application, and I'm certain I've taken as many, if not more on trips now that I think about it. I store my significant amount (too embarrassed to divulge) of brushes in a square basket with compartments filled with river rocks/pebbles to help them stand. It's just easier access to have them on top of my makeup center. I use a compartment for face brushes, a compartment for eye brushes and in compartments on either side of the eye brushes I store a bottle of brush cleaner and a bottle of
Fix +. I use a clear shower cap (the kind you get from a hotel stay) as a dust cover. It's not too bulky, it stretches to fit over the brushes and I can still see and admire the brushes underneath. I also have an assortment of the short version of brushes from the permanent line and several sets from collections that are great for travel. I store them in a similar manner for easy access, because I do use them on a regular basis as well.

If your collection continues to grow, and I suspect with a reasonable degree of certainty that it WILL (said one addict to another

), you're going to need more than one brush roll in which to store your brushes.
This is excellent advice. You're right, my brush collection will continue to grow. I don't want to get something that I'll outgrow in a short period of time.

OMG I just did that. They are crazy crochet/lace ones from Free People. I was so in love.
I think I know which boots you're talking about. I like them too. I've been eyeing the solid black pair for over a year now. Does it matter that I probably can't walk in them? Not one bit! But I couldn't ever bring myself to spend that much on a pair of boots. Then I realize I've just dropped about the same amount of dough on the Glamour Daze collection. But now I'm too broke to get the boots.

lol, doesn't that seem ridiculous? Why is it so easy to spend money on makeup but not on clothes?!?
