I went to my MAC store today and was able to look at everything & swatch. Surprisingly I only did presale for Beauty & In the Limelight. I think I'm going to have to call them back tomorrow and also get the Lavish Rose set...can't stop looking at these swatches!

Pressed Amber is one of my all-time favorite blushes. I have not yet seen it in person, but I'm drawn to Small Vanity in the way that I was drawn to Pressed Amber. Now I'm on a mission to check it out. Thanks for the details.
So I havent had time to post about the products/the event yet.

First of all, the event in Seattle, WA at U Village was a MAD HOUSE. they were letting EVERYONE in it seemed like, because it was packed. I got there a little after seven, my apt was at 7:30 but they let us in. Seemed like they were letting others in with later appointments too. Girls were shoulder to shoulder in there, I was really surprised, because I was at the glitter and ice event and it was so chill. At 7:15, they already had a sold out sticker on the pale champagne color eye shadow. Not sure if they just didnt get any, or if they really already sold out. My girlfriend and I recognized that it was going to be crazy, so we quickly swatched everything, literally had to squeeze my way to the display to grab stuff just to swatch. I ended up with..

Beauty Lipstick (glaze): Wasnt sure I was going to get this. thought it was going to be way too light. When I swatched it and saw that it was a glaze, I figured what the hell. Its a pretty pale pink, with a hint of lilac on my lips. Love it.
Dramatic Encounter Lipstick (amplified creme): Wasn't sure about this either. Bought it anyway. Its really pretty, very dramatic on my NC20 skin, but It looks gorgeous with vino lipliner and dabbed down to a stain. There is more red/berry in it then YR.
Flight of Fancy lipglass: Didnt have anything like it in my stash. Its really nice.
Small Vanity Blush (Satin): LOVE THIS. It is my new favorite blush. its a beautiful dark mauve/pink and I dont have anything else like it in my stash. Beautiful on pale skin paired with Forever Marilyn.
Ready to Party EDSF: Yes, these are small. I didn't get any the first time around but I love colors like this. I might get divine blue when it shows up online too. I was a little disappointed in ready to party because its very sheer, and I had to pack it on quite a bit to get it to show where I wanted it. Which sucks because its so small. Very pretty, almost duochrome color.
Catch my Eye f/l: Beautiful. Much more taupe than in the online pictures. i think taking pictures of these dazzlepearl fluidlines is difficult because the flash picks up the sparkle and makes it look lighter than it is. Its very taupe, not silver, in person.
Little Black Bow f/l: I like this one a lot too. Its a blue/black with sparkle. Similar to Midnight snack but more sparkly, less blue.
Feminine Edge f/l: This is so cute! Such a pretty color! Not quite sure how often I will use it, but its so cute. Today I wore it on the lower lash line, and a fine line above little black bow. Very sparkly.

And that is all I got so far. I am waiting to see how Glamourdaze looks on my friend tonight, because I might pick that up too.

LOL, that happened to me too not too long ago at the MAC flagship.

I got antsy of waiting and stalking the website so I went to the pro store and purchased my items today. I actually stayed true to my original list...

Dramatic Encounter L\S - Very vampy dark. It does look like Yung Rapunxel on my lips, however YR has a purple undertone and DE has a red undertone when I look verrry closely. The application of DE is better but still not a need if you have YR. Outrageously Fun L\S - A pink Up The Amp just like CartoonChic said. In hindsight, It's not a need but I guess i'm happy to have it. I definitely do not need another pink lippy for another year. Flight Of Fancy L\G - Just like all the swatches. Love it. Small Vanity Blush - I wanted to love it but for some reason didn't. It's not that dark\deep as some of the watches depict. It's more of a pinky\peach. It's just seems like a sheen on me so it can be a color that's buildable. WOG & Superb EDSF - Experienced skippers remorse so I am happy to finally own them. I ended up hauling some PRO blushes since I skipped out on SV. Swatched the other 3 lipsticks but they all seemed too pale for my complexion although I feel I should've gave glamourdaze a second look over. I didn't catch the name but there is a champagne EDES, it was soooo buttery and seemed like the perfect color for an eyebrow highlight. I would've purchased but my wallet was already hating me.

I love the glaze formula too.

The only glaze lipsticks I have are Whirls & Twirls and Eloquent Air from G&I. I've worn W&T multiple times, and it is awful on me! Even with Prep & Prime Lip, it shrinks my lips up and makes them look like a dried raisin in about 2 minutes flat. I've avoided all other glazes since then and haven't even attempted to try EA yet.

Is there some trick to making the glaze lipsticks work? Or is this just a weird quirk reaction my lips have to that finish?

I have the same lipsticks as you ( Glitter and Ice ), I don't know if a primer is really useful with that kind of texture. The result is pretty but you'll have to apply it again and again I fear. I am used to it, I've grown accustomed to every texture from M.A.C now, I love them all and I wear Eloquent Air ( for example ) quite often during winter.

That is a shame. It sounds like this finish is really not for me. I don't mind reapplying, but not constantly. My main problem is my lips just look and feel awful when I wear W&T, and continue to feel and look awful the next day.

Do you think I would have the same problem if I layered it over another lipstick? That may be the only way I can use them.

The best advice is moisturizing your lips. I usually go through one tendertone per month, if not more.

I haven't had a problem with dry/chapped lips for well over a year now (my lips are naturally moist these days), but whenever I wear W&T, it makes them start peeling. I've tried chapstick too, but no help either.

Unfortunately, I can't use tendertones.

Lip products with a fruity or perfume-y scent give me terrible soar throats.

Maybe the TLC will work better for you? Or any other brand that works well for you.
