I started carefully with mine, but now I use it twice a day. I'm not even sure if I have the sensitive or deep cleaning brush on at the mo; either way, neither of them bother my skin. My husband noticed right away what a difference it made. He tried mine once and then asked for his own. Since he's Mr. Frugal and the last one who ever thinks he 'needs' anything (he of the 'I don't want/need anything' Christmas/birthday list), I knew he really had to like it. They come in burgandy and hunter green now , so I think they're trying to appeal more to men.
I've seen it in black too.

I've been thinking about getting a Clarisonic but I'm on the fence. I have really sensitive, acne-prone skin (my skin can get really red just from using some scrubs) so I'm afraid that it will be too abrasive. Any thoughts? Thanks!
It may be too much for sensitive skin, but depending on where you buy it you will have time to try for a while and return it if you need to. Definitely stay away from the acne and deep pore brush heads. I encourage you to try it, though!

My skin has been a nightmare ever since I hit puberty. I've found that Retin-a has helped the most but the clarisonic just did something magical for my pores. I can definitely tell that my skin is smoother and less idk congested (if you know what I mean) when I'm using it regularly.

I am going to disagree with this just a bit. I have extremely sensitive and reactive skin as well as rosacea. I find the "acne" brush is inappropriately named and IMHO it is the least abrasive of all of the brush heads including sensitive and delicate. I was about to return my Clarisonic Pro because I thought it was too abrasive. I had tried both the sensitive and delicate brushes and still had problems. Then both MAC Guy and Piapreet suggested the "acne" brush head. What a huge difference! I will be 50 at the end of the year and I don't look a day over 35 (thanks to Clarisonic and Shiseido sunscreens). My skin is actually less reactive now (although I do still get the rare occasional rosacea flare).

Long story short you have to play around with the brush heads and find the one that works best for YOU regardless of what the brush head is labeled as. (Although I do agree with the advice to use caution with the deep pore brush head).

Yes, yes, yes! God bless good serum & moisturizer. I've even added a type of Day Wear/serum solution. You are absolutely right!
can you tell me what you are using?

I keep forgetting to ask my Dermatologist what type of serums I should or can be using.

Now b/c of the medication I'm on, she does not want me using any type of exfoliators. I miss my glycolic acid pads. LOL

I've also just discovered I have rosaeca. WTF? Is what I thought. How do I all of a sudden get this out of the blue? Oh well.

Maybe I'll finally ask for a clairsonic for xmas.

Thanks for the advice! I'll have to play around with it once I get it but I have heard that the acne brush is the way to go.

Another thing to keep in mind with the Clairsonic - no matter what kind of brush head you are using, it's important to use the right kind of cleanser. You really want to use a thick gel cleanser. Clarins makes one or two good ones and I personally swear by Rodial's active cleanser, which is pricey, but is very multipurpose for older skin issues. You want a cleanser that stays nice and thick and doesn't immediately break down into a lather, especially a thin lather. The longer it stays in gel form, the more cushioning you'll get from the bristles and vibration.

Another thing, I personally feel it's very important to not use the Clairsonic at night, especially if you have sensitive or irritated skin. Think about it this way: the brush stimulates blood circulation under the surface of the skin. Do you want to bring blood to the surface and then just go lay down on one side or another of your face and go to sleep for hours? At night, you want your skin to rest, not get all "ready for action". If your skin is used to it, you can try adding it to a nighttime cleaning regimen, but I prefer to just use a cream cleanser, like Clarins Extra Comfort Cream Cleanser to gently get off all my makeup and then wake my skin up in the morning with an active cleanser and the Clairsonic.

thanks for the tips! i heard the thing about the lather, but i didn't know why it was important. i've been considering trying out the clarisonic for a while, but i'm thinking of taking the plunge around christmas!

I think I want the Veluxe Liner, I guess the Brunette one would be the best match for me. If it's a good deal compared to buying the perm refills, I might want the Brunette Duo as well.

I have these two e/s in my brow quad already and therefore I will skip this duo.

I wonder if these will be "normal" e/s-duos or if they will have a different packaging.

Thank you again Naynadine! I don't know if I'm getting anything from this collection. I'm happy with my Tom Ford liner and the clear brow set.
