MAC Strength Collection Discussion (December 2012)

Loving the sound of the lippies and blushes! The purple lippy is the only one I'm for sure on though. I'm actually wondering how the red will be. I missed the MM reds and only own a few reds. There's that damn penultimate liner again lol. I bought that years ago and hate it. The quads sound great! But I'll have to check my stash. I got to really be careful with shadows as I have so many.

Nooo, I just realized this is a MAC exclusive After the recent drama with the german MAC site, I can see this being a disaster as well. I probably will have to get a CP for at least the blushes. If I have to rely on the MAC site I will end up getting a heart attack one day.

Oh noes! MAC NL was no better. I was so hoping to buy several lippies and both blushes from this collection

Thank you very much Rezel and Naynadine!!! I actually love the image for the collection- I think it goes perfectly with the theme and it goes back to Mac's embrace of offbeat or eccentric beauty- something I felt they did in the past, but not as much recently.

Based on descriptions, I'm interested in all the lipsticks (although I really don't need another red, so it's possible I skip that one) and the All Woman quad. The Inner Strangth quad sounds like my kind of colours, but I have a lot of shades like that and I've never been happy with the colour payoff of Heather Belles, which I have from when it was first released.

Am I the only one wondering how a lipstick with "gold pearlized pigments" can be matte? I realise it may not have a sheen, but mattes aren't supposed to have a frost, either. Regardless, I want the colour and I'm not going to quibble. I'm willing to bet all the lipsticks from the collection sell out in a hurry.

I told everyone that image is an eye-popper! I love it too - totally in your face, but still glamorous.

Katred - I remember some lipsticks in the grand heyday of mattes that were matte with a sort of matte, burnished highlight - not as light reflective as a frost, but with this dull gleam. It was some awesome stuff - can't recall what the company was - perhaps they were from that same woman who now does Lipstick Queen? She was the queen of the matte lipsticks back then.

I think I'm just getting Strong Woman and Firm Form, possibly Absolute Power depending on how it swatches. I'm glad I already have Pink Pigeon (which is surprisingly not the most flattering shade on me), and I tend to pass on colors like Party Parrot but I don't know why (I think I feel like they'd be too warm on me? PP looks gorgeous though so I may have to break my rule on this one. Any cool toned/NW20 ladies with Party Parrot that love it?) Overall this sounds like a really pretty collection though! I'm very excited for it.

This is really easy for me. All the lipsticks with BUs and maybe the All Woman quad. I wish it wasn't online/MAC store only. That's how I missed Pink Pigeon and Party Parrot the first time.
