MAC Holiday 2012 Glamour Daze / Fabulousness / Guilty Passions Collection Discussion

I went ahead and placed my order. Don't feel like waiting for MAC and I get bonus rewards on my credit card through Nordstrom. I just got a few more items to complete the things I originally purchased from the Glamour Daze event. I was tempted to add Round Midnight EDES to my cart to have them all, but I'll wait to swatch it again to make sure it's a skip for me.

Pending my Round Midnight re-swatching, I think I'm done with this collection. I was tempted by the Lickable set, but the mini lip pencil bothers me and I'm not drawn to the bag. I thought I might want the purple Cremesheen/Dazzleglass set. The colors are beautiful, but I've lost interest. I don't know. I may get these things later if they show up at a CCO, but I can live with not having them if they don't. I think I'm just ready to move on to the next collections.

Yay...my twin. I got those too. No backups. I haven't used my MM lippies or my YR. I love pink but I'm ready to rock the orange and red and purple.

The rest of my list is pretty wild...it's embarrassing already!

YAY! I found out what the model is wearing in the promo pics for Glamour Daze (the one with her looking in the mirror) Not sure if anyone has posted about this already... but Im quite excited!!

On her eyes:

The model is wearing Yogurt on highlight, Ready to Party Extra Dimension Eye Shadow on lid with Stolen Moment and Tall, Dark & Handsome in the crease. Boot Black liquid Eye Liner and Endlessly Black Extended Play Lash.

For skin:

she is wearing Studio Tech Foundation, and Mineralize Concealer and Studio Careblend/Pressed Powder.

Lips:

She is wearing Beauty Lipstick, along with In Sync Lip pencil and Pink Fade Lipglass.

I've seen that on the MAC website but for Nordstroms too? Or maybe she placed different orders....lol who knows but i thought 9 was a funny number and if i see 8 of them go up on ebay...well, i don't know what i'd do hahaha i just hope she REALLY loves them and it's for her personal stash

Yeah, I didn't know the answer to Mac-Guy's question, so I put 9 WOG in my cart on the Nordies site and that was what I got.

Man! I've been out for a little bit and this thread goes nuts! I cancelled my pre-order that I did during the Marilyn event and just ordered my stuff through Nordstroms. The store I did the event at isn't that close to me and I know Nordstrom's is reliable, I changed my mind at the last minute about the fluidlines (was going to get all three in my original pre-order) because it seems I never use the ones that I already have. (I stick mainly with my good ol' regular liquid) Maybe after I see swatches I may pick them up. The glitter is what I'm most curious about. I want it to be noticeable but not candy raver, you know?

Also, even though I know I shouldn't I passed on WoG...I think I have enough highlighters and I'm worried because it looks *so* gold. Anyone care to try to talk me into it?

On a side note: I've been having a pretty horrible time recently. I was attacked by a few people on one of our city buses last week and got hurt pretty badly. I'm home still recovering today and so glad that I spend the time hauling and swatching with Specktra! You are all helping to remind me that there is some good out in this crazy world! I love that this community is so polite and helpful and I just wanted to thank you all for helping me get my mind off things for a bit.

Now...Back to hauling!

I feel like it is, but Creme Cup seems more wearable that's why I'm skipping Beauty

I thought WOG wasn't for me because it looks soooo gold, and my skin is so fair..but what made me change my mind was Nikkie (from youtube). She has a very pale complexion, and she always use it (and love it) and looks gorgeous on her!

I had been randomly checking the mac site and was so glad to see it up early on the reg. site! Now only need to have the mini gloss sets come out ( in a week or two from what I've read) and I don't think I'll be wanting any more makeup for the rest of the year. At least I hope not

Funny how I signed up to be notified when the holiday collection was released both via txt and email and I have received anything! Lol. Not surprised. Thanks to Specktra, I haven't missed a beat. Since there isn't a face chart for the collection, I did a live chat with MAC to find out what the model was wearing.
