And speaking of purples, I also saw Musky Amethyst for cheap in the sales/swap thread. I remember one of you kicking yourselves over it for not getting it. Was it you, OctoberViolet? Happy Belated Birthday btw! =)

I agree. I bought it sight unseen simple b/c I expected it to be full of lavender goodness. It's very pretty but definitely not what I pictured.

Have you tried the Blue lip mix? I just picked some up from my Pro store to do the effect you see in my icon. In that photo, I was only wearing Hi-Def Cyan, but I did photoshop it darker to match my mask. But Blue LM is a pretty similar color.

My sister (new to learning about MAC collections) told me she loved that color and couldn't wait to get it.. it was heartbreaking to inform her that that color is no longer available

You're in So Cal? There are CCO's at Camarillo, Cabazon, Ontario Mills, (what used to be) the block at Orange, and a couple in San Diego. I am going to one, maybe two CCO's this weekend. I can CP one for you if you'd like, or if Orange/Ontario is near you, I can let you know what I find.

I'm someone else, and i live in NoCal. But i'll be in SoCal for a month (mid-Nov to mid-Dec). How do i find out where the CCOs are in or near Sandy Eggo?

Yes! Something to make those too too red colors bluer AND lip safe! Lipmix, as with so many PRO products, is now on-line at MAC for everyone, i think - i know it's on-line on the US site. Yea! MAC PRO products for the masses!

I was recently at a more-or-less-local PRO shop and got the Hi-Def Cyan Chromagraphic pencil. I outlined my lips with it then blended it with a too-fuchsia-for-my-taste lavender lipstick and got some compliments, but it's not really lip safe. I'm adding blue Lipmix to my ever-growing on-line order : my local shop NEVER got one of the Glamour Daze e/s i really wanted(!!!) and doesn't have Mehr, Tabla, Yash or Double Shot lipsticks.

I want to test Mehr, Tabla, Yash and Double Shot to see which, if any, suit my coloring and taste. But SAs at both my local shop and the local-ish PRO shop never heard of them! In on-line swatches Tabla ("chocolate brown") looks too yellow and Yash ("deep neutral") too orange for my taste, but i'm not sure. I want some creamy brown lipsticks, but not if they're orangey or reddish. I'm pretty pale (between 15 & 20, neutral) with fairly pigmented lips (both warm and bluish pink simultaneously).

I'm getting OT for this thread, but can anyone direct me to photos of Chestnut ("rich chocolate brown") and Spice ("midtonal neutral nude") and the above-mentioned 4 colors on someone fair? Christine of Temptalia is several shades darker than i am, so i'm not quite sure how they'll look on me. The store return policy is great, but shipping and handling charges on return mail orders are non-refundable, so i hate to waste the money if i don't like them...

There are two CCO's located near(ish) San Diego.

Carlsbad Premium Outlets (North County San Diego)

Las Americas (down south, literally the last exit before the border)

I've found the Las Americas outlets have a better selection (and usually get collections in first), but the SA at Carlsbad are ten times nicer (and don't stare at you like you're THISCLOSE to shoplifting the entire store). But truth be told, the selection at these outlets are not the best I've seen at a CCO, but definitely worth a shot if you're in the area. If you happen to make your way to an hour or two north OC/Inland Empire area, I can give you info on those as well.
