MAC Taste Temptations Collection (November 2012; December 2012)

I've been reading reviews on Chinchilla l/s and most of them are raving about this shade of lipstick. I'm glad cause I really love it. Lime Crime issues aside of course. I am still feeling a little guilty in purchasing from them since they seem to be bullies when it comes to bloggers and how they are viewed by other companies. Liz, if you find a dupe, please let us know. I have a feeling this may be a color I will want again. Once I receive my order, I will report back to my Specktra family.

I've been tempted to order from Lime Crime in the past, but after reading a few things about them i decided to pass as well. Sadly i really REALLY love the color of Chinchilla l/s lol

I might go hunting for dupes of it.

Sometimes, i guess. The collection called "Reel Sexy" in the US was called "So Reel" some places, but i'm not sure where...

I got it last December. I love it. Very opaque. A wonderful lavender grey. So far i haven't seen anything like it elsewhere, but i am not familiar with every little niche cosmetic company, so it's possible something like it is lurking out there.

hahaha i cant. i want them all. im going to email them asking if they are permanent. i already did some damage this week ( or month) to my wallet with the sephora and beauty.com sales. i may be able to only get 2 things from this collection the quad and the lavander blush but then im in trouble with strength and apres chic.

It's not exactly the same color and she uses the Katricia Lip Tar which i think is discontinued (not sure about this tho).
Anyway, trying to make a dupe of it with OCC Lip Tars already seems a cool idea.
Not giving up the search to find other dupes tho

Funny, I've been on a Lip Tar kick and was going to suggest them to dupe Chinchilla. Katricia is discontinued. I think Belladonna is similar based on comparison swatches I've seen. I would try different Lip Tars to make the dupe. Definitely Butch mixed with a pale pink/purple/lavender color. Maybe Digitalis, Narcissus, Lydia or Belladonna.

Belladonna is quite unlike Chinchilla on my lips. Chinchilla is lavender grey. Belladonna is darker and warmer than Chinchilla.

Mixing Belladonna with Butch might get a bit closer. They would be more lavender than grey, and I'm not sure if would as light as Chinchilla.

Yup, that's what I meant. I guess you can also mix in a bit of Feathered to lighten it.
