Swoon! Get it hemmed so you can wear it comfortably. It should cost around $10.
Only $10? I thought alterations would cost a lot more than that. But I never had anything altered before. I worry that it will mess up the clothing, so I've never done it.

Did you post a pic or a link of the dress? Michelle & I are big Anthro shoppers too.

The sparkle nail commercial comment really made me laugh.

She got this showstopper: http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/product/shopsale-dresses2/25333535.jsp

Yay, more Anthro lovers! It's funny because I stayed up until 3am to check the Anthro sale this morning. Been doing that for long enough that it doesn't seem weird to do it for makeup.

I'd say $20 max. Ask your friends for tailor/seamstress recommendations or ask the Anthro store who they recommend or even ask at Nordstrom or something like that. You'll find reputable people. All they're doing is taking up the length so that's a really easy fix that they shouldn't mess up. Hell if your desperate you can iron on Stitch Witchery yourself. Since it's silk, though, I'd take it in.

Elegant - you have the most amazing pictures! You could convince me to buy anything w/o trying it in the store. Thank God Chanel doesn't ship to Canada or I'd be broke :D

UD primer portion (original) works fine for me though my lids are not oily, I could go w/o primer really I just apply it so my e/s would last over 8 hours. I alternate between that and MAC Painterly p/p. I had a sample of Nars primer and I really liked the texture but not sure if I buy it as it's meant for oilier skin.

I'm still undecided about Reverie powder. Those of you guys who bought it, how are you enjoying it? Oh and here's another look with the Chanel holiday quad I thought I share here. I used the taupe shade on lid, cranberry shade in crease, pink shade on inner lid and gold shade to highlight. Excuse my nasty looking brows, my brow appt is tomorrow:

So pretty! And I am jealous of that figure! I can't believe you just gave birth like 5 minutes ago :)

Still haven't received Reverie! But I am growing in excitement! Fortunately I don't wear much shadow due to my Asian almond eyes else I would have gotten the quad too! Still undecided about Stardust, as I might rather prefer saving up for Spring.

Oh dear, I've now discovered that Anthro is available in the UK! So now I'm trying not to order a blouse and a skirt in the sale... But they're so pretty, and only £19.95 each!

Ordered Star Dust and still cannot decide whether I love it or not because of all that glitter and sparkle. But I guess it lives true to its name - it's a star dust after all-))
all that glitter and sparkle is putting me off buying Stardust. i love the colour, but i'm not a big fan of sparkly blushes.

i first thought the sparkly stuff was just overspray but it didn't look like overspray when i swatched it in the store. so i decided not to get it....

...and i compensated not having purchased Stardust by ordering Notorious on evilbay! stupid really, because like any other hyped about Chanel product tons of dupes will be released in a few months. gah! anyways, too late now. it's already on its way!

They just opened their first location in Montreal! It's around the corner from Holt Renfrew, where all the high end makeup brands live... GOODBYE MONEY, I WILL MISS YOU!!!
You will have so much fun spending that money at Anthro, though! I love how artistic the entire store is. The window displays are amazing and I go in for clothes and end up spending just as much time in the home section :)

I love that maxi dress, Elegant! So lovely and classy! I wish even the petite length of maxi dresses would fit me. I am so short, I usually have to have a good foot whacked off of the bottom. LOL

I have a couple of their Maxis from last year, but this one is THE perfect length. I'm 5'5 & it hits right at my ankle bone which is perfect to still show like a flat strappy sandal which is how I wear them so its not overly dressy. I bought this really pretty maxi from JCrew a few years ago & never wore it because it was insanely long. They made it one looong length & you were suppose to customize your length with a pair of scissors

I guess I am just too lazy to cut it.

I agree about how artistic the store is. Very inspiring. I always have hubs take pics of the window displays for my idea folder.

The dress was delivered today! Malice pairs beautifully with it. You were right MissTT, I needed the XS. The cut of the fabric makes it larger. I love it, but it hangs so long on me and drags a little on the floor. I'll need to practice walking in heels to wear it.
WOW! LOVE the dress. You mean business...it's stunning!!!

CartoonChic -- have fun wearing that flowy gorgeous maxi dress!

For all JCrew addicts, they are having an additional 30% off sale items. Just got a gingham tweed pencil skirt that was marked down to $129 from $225, plus an additional 30% off.

I had to call around and track one down in a store. They probs think I am a little nutso. But tweed makes me think of Chanel . . . .

Now, back to makeup

I think of you when I shop there.
That dress is elegant just like you. So did you get the regular or petite?

I've been doing really well. I haven't made an Anthro purchase in weeks. (After being a weekly offender.) The last dress I picked up was this one (with 3 of this baby hanging in my closet.): http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/product/shopsale-petite/25089863.jsp

That's a steal. Which item would you get more wear out of? I'm thinking the top is the most versatile. But the stitching on the skirt is such an interesting touch.
