MAC Taste Temptations Collection (November 2012; December 2012)

Hi beauty's! So i have good news and bad news...the bad news is my little guy got sick on us last night therefore I was not able to make it today to MAC. The good news is we took him to the doc's this morning, his fever is gone and will be good enough to go back to school tomorrow so that means once he's left at school, I shall make my way to MAC. So sorry for the delay!

thats ok, im glad that he is ok and come on give the kid a day off, he was sick!

So glad he is feeling better. I am curious about the lavender blush otherwise this is a skip for me.

Just played around with the collection. I was not blown away by the items but I guess my mind is more on Dec 26th. Anyway, my impression is as follows Perky LG lots of shine, a little shimmer, minimal color, more like a over priced lip moisterizer with high sheen Good times LG, too pasty looking on me Revenge is Sweet.....I like. Gel like consistency IMO The pallette is not my thing, colors are too dark except for a light lilac in upper left corner Great for smokey eye look I guess I tried the mattes just for you guys They are soft and silky with excellent color payoff esp the two brighter ones One is a bright pink and the other is more pinkish purplish if that makes sense The mauve one was the dryest and least impressive to me The blushes are beautiful Love the soft light lilac one for lighter complexions ......didn't swatch it The magenta one is a more brighter pink to me than magenta but it is pretty nonetheless A bit dusty with some powdery falling out though I didn't look at the nailpolish, two fluidlines, a liner and brush blush 129 long angle and of course would not be the same without the mascara......lol I have swatches on my hands but not able to take a pic at this time

Katred, Kimibos, & Michelemu21...thank you so much! My poor little guy has had perfect attendance 2 months in a row...that's great for a 5 year old! lol. I'd leave him home to rest for the weekend but he really misses school. I just hope this lasts throughout the rest of his years in school!

I'm just lurking this thread because I was so happy about this collection (I love love love purple lippies, I was lucky last month to find Potent Fig mattene - here in Italy we haven't chances to find old products in stores usually - and I'm loving it!) and it will be not released in my country but I'm curious about purple lipsticks and the cool fard...

I read you were talking about blue lipsticks and stuff like that... Inglot this year released a whole collection of 6 lipsticks (I'm writing a post for my blog about it, I was so curious to have a chance to see them live and last week I finally did it *_* ), they look like really interesting ^^

I have Passionately Tempted, Perky, Revenge is Sweet on hold although I may just get RIS only which I am sure will not be opened for another year or so as too many LG in rotation presently. Need to save for those two couture brushes, the pigments, even tho they are perm if I don't get them immediately they will be overlooked due to new limited collections. I also have my eyes on most of mineralized eyeshadows, a few perm eye liners and the new eyeshadow brush.

I think it is a Macy's exclusive for a while? I am not sure. The bright mattenes are super bright, soft and silky with excellent color pay off. The light one, mauve? is already faded on my hand. I only wear lipgloss tho. Perky lipgloss will be good for the winter as it makes my lips feel so soft and moisterized but I don't think I can justify it with so many other items to put my cash towards

I'm interested in that new brush as well and the mineralize blushes, stereo rose msf, mineralize lip balms and 2 or 3 lipsticks

You know now that you mention that Debbs i'm having second thoughts about Night Blooming. I wonder how close it would be in comparison to MUFE's Aqua Rouge #10. I really love that lip color especially because it lasts all day! I really need to save for the mineralize collection coming out.

I am waiting to see how the mineralized skinfinishes and blushes will look on darker skintones. I guess I am brainwashed by certain colors only being suitable for my skintone. Off thread....sorry

I heard from someone who saw the lippies that Night Blooming is similar to CYY (though probably more like the BR release than the original). Anyone who's seen it have thoughts on that? I think someone may have mentioned a while back that it reminded them of a toned down CYY. And then the question becomes...if I have CYY, is it worth getting NB?

I don't own a single lipstick so I am not able to compare them IRL......weird I kno. I gave my Deeply Adored MM lipstick from the event to my mom. I can't control my addictions so I try to avoid finding new loves. Ask me about lipglosses and I am good. The mattenes are primarily soft and smooth with excellent color payoff

I missed that ChosenOne but thanks for the comment. I'm trying my hardest to avoid purchasing products that are close enough in color. Mac has made a ton of lipsticks described as "mid tone blue pink" so i'm pretty sure there must be some dupes out there for NB. Question is do i have any dupes for it? haha!

Aww poor baby def good thing that it wasn't a long sickness for him fevers def suck, and for perfect attendance that's great! And great job to mommy for keeping up as well, my kids as well get perfect attendance to try to get student of the year and I'm quite lucky they don't get sick often so we've had perfect attendance forever. Lol I also hope it lasts forever too my daughter is in fourth and son in first so we have ways to go but so far so good. High five to you super mom!

Same here I don't care too much about this line although that blush is kinda calling my name since I have nothing like it, but I'm also like I'm not too much of a lavender fan so this line might be a skip, crossing fingers it is cuz lord knows I don't need anymore stuff
