I wore the Dragon Balls yesterday and today and I'm in love! Are you sure you're going to skip?

They have a similar effect as the Forever Marilyn b/p, but FM has a tiny bit more shimmer and the colour is different. The colour of the Dragon Balls is more complex, so it's worth it to me to get both. I also really like the way they smell, but the scent dissapears quickly so you don't have to be afraid that it will be overwelming during the day.
That's strange that Delft doesn't have a douglas. The city seems big enough for it to me. I hope you find the collection so you can see everything for yourself.
OK, I'm sold! I'm surprised it has less shimmer than FM though - it looked positively sparkly in some of the swatches I saw. Glad you're enjoying it!

re: colour - In what way is it different from FM? A tad more beige, perhaps?

It has shimmers, but I feel like FM puts a sheen on every part it is put on and here the shimmers are more spread out or less dense if that makes sense.
FM only has one colour and there are different coloured balls in this so thats what makes it more complex. It's very hard to describe, but it sort of corrects your skin a tiny bit and makes your skin a prettier colour. It's a my skin but better effect

and FM is a bit more plain to me.
What you also could do is bring your FM powder with you and ask if they can apply FM on half of your face and the Dragon Balls on the other half. The lighting in store is not always the best though to see the difference for these kinds of things.

Tell me about it. Store lighting is very deceptive. I have so many products that looked beautiful when swatched in the store and just meh the moment I step outside.

I won't be getting my salary until the 24th and I want to make sure I have enough in my account in case I need to pay for some CPs I have lined up before I get paid. Dragon Balls will have to wait a bit :(

The Meteorites don't normally sell out very quickly (at least in the UK), I always see them reduced in the sales. I can always CP you one after Christmas if you want, nmost probably half price. :)

Meteorites in the sales? Crikey!

It's been a very long time since the last time I was in the UK during the Christmas sales *le sigh*

ICIParisXL not getting the Guerlain Holiday collection? Arrrghh! I skipped going to Sephora last weekend, since I thought I could use my 25% off voucher at ICIParis instead.
We have both Douglas and ICIParis next to each other in Zaandam, but our Douglas doesn't sell Guerlain :/

I have a feeling that somehow the cities that are closer to Belgium get new collections earlier than those in the North.

I'll keep an eye out for you. I've managed to find a few half price voyage powders, lipsticks, and even the Cruel Gardenia highlighter in the sales before! I always see the Meteorites in the sales too, but I don't get back ups for those, they take forever to use up. :)

Not in eindhoven, but maybe other cities? I have a feeling not a lot of stores will get this collection. I'm not sure how big the city is you live in, but if it's a smaller one you might not find it there at all. I also haven't seen it online yet. If you plan to go shopping in a bigger city you could call around and if they have something you want maybe ask them to hold it. They did that for me when I was looking for Chanel Dragon.

That's nice of them that they held it for you! This doesn't happen often in NL, does it, so it is always really nice when they want to walk an extra mile for you.
Zaandam is one of the smaller towns, so I went to Amsterdam today and finally got Turandot! Only Douglas had it. I was at Sephora Amstelveen on Wednesday, and they still had the regular display, and ICI Paris person told me that their head office decided not to purchase the holiday collection at all. At Douglas they literally had 3 quads, one of which I bough. I find it a bit strange that it is so limited, since it's a gorgeous little collex, but oh well. *shrugs*.

I've also been able to put a polish on hold at sephora before. I think if you ask nicely and explain that the items is hard to find and you have been looking and calling all over to find it they won't say no. In the case of Dragon they probably wouldn't have sold it if I hadn't called for it since they already send back the testers and nobody could have known there was still one sitting lost in the drawers. They were meant to be mine

I'm glad you were able to get the Turandot palette too! It's so pretty and so hard that I have to wait till december 2nd to get it. It's strange that ICI Paris doesn't get this at all, but Guerlain had always been harder to find here. I'm glad I was there early to buy it.

I went back for the Calligraphy palette last night! I'm wearing the shadows today and I'll be trying out one of the lipsticks tonight (thought they were a bit bold for the office). This is definitely my favourite of the holiday collections- high quality from start to finish. I'm still wondering whether or not I should go back for the magic dragon ballz.

The Turandot palette showed up today. I wasn't expecting any deliveries today so it was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting the Holiday lipstick to come first as it was sent separately. The box was gigantic. Such a waste. Off to play with Turandot. I think Les Fauves will be my next Guerlain purchase. I kind of like the gold lipstick too. I have yet to try any of these ballz that everyone speaks of. What is so great about them?

I once had Nordstrom's deliver a single Armani lipstick to me in a box the size of my torso.

Enjoy Turandot! I think it's quite possibly the best quad Guerlain have done since relaunching them last year. If you like that, you will also want to get Les Fauves. It is nearly as good in quality and the colours are stunning.

Norstrom is great about that stuff. I may have said this before but twice they tracked a single n/p for me that was sold out online and shipped it to me free of charge. This was before they went to all shipping free. Even lately if they are doing an online only offer and a color is sold out on an item they have honored the offer even though they have found it in another store.

Love the pic with the black high heels in the background! Sadly, I also love both palettes, which doesn't bode well for my wallet.

I'm in the same boat... Fortunately I'm not mad over some of the other Spring collections that I've seen- Mac, Chanel, Armani. So I think Guerlain will represent my "Spring splurge". I wonder how the coral in this palette will compare to the one in Les Fauves. The only thing that would make me hesitate on that palette would be if I felt that I could use Les Fauves nad Les Verts (which I haven't picked up yet, but want to) to get much the same effect.
