MAC Strength Collection Discussion (December 2012)

I went to the MAC store today to see if I could pre-order from the collection along with Apres Chic, but the MUA told me that they only take pre-orders for brushes and holiday collections. She did confirm me that Candy Yum Yum was going to be permanent next year. I guess I'll have to either stalk the MAC site for the lipsticks or ask for a CP. *sigh*

why thank you :] I brought her with me in my MAC store to pick up Seductive Intent lipstick from TT collection all the MUAs in the store wanted to take her lol. now I know to always bring her with me seems to put people in better moods and make my experience better. I too tried to pre-order and she said I'd have to wait until it comes out :/ I wanted to be sure I liked the colors before buying though ugh. Such a pain ordering online and returning costs money.

My boss decides also to schedule me 7am -2pm on the day it comes out -_- which sucks I love going to the stores first thing at 10am so I can look at everything. by the time I get out work it'll be sold out...

you are actually allergic to the dog's saliva not hair. same thing with cats. its a protein in their saliva. so just call the place where you may adopt the puppy and ask about allergy friendly breeds. i know there's only one cat, but i cant remember which one right now. (its the siberian)

a good tip is to shower the pet more often, if you are allergic have a family member do it. and wash their toys more often too. get a cute puppy you can fall inlove with, so you can be willing to get an allergy shot every now and then, as directed by a physician.

im a cat lady right now, but i love dogs too. i had dogs growing up.

So I should be allergic to cats too, because they have the protein too? Cause I've never had a problem with them. I'm also allergic to horses and other farm animals I think.

Thanks for the tips! I really hope I can have a cute shepherd dog without allergy shot. I don't like to take medicins and the like so I don't think allergy shots are an option.

Thanks for the suggestions, but we really want a shepherd and of course it's going to be very hard to find a shepherd breed that I won't be allergic too. Luckily I immediately know if I'm allergic so when we are going to look in the future I'll just visit the breeder and see what I do

It could be that you're allergic to their dander (the skin cells) or the pollen or dust that collects on their fur. That would probably be why you're allergic to horses and farm animals since they are mostly outdoors and their fur/feathers trap pollen and dust. If you get a shepherd, you could keep him/her mostly indoors and bathe very regularly. It might help.

not allergy free. a shot like every month to control the allergy. just like your doctor said, a shot every now and then for a given period of time as directed by a physician.

I was in Nordstrom at Irvine Spectrum and MAC Pro store in South Coast and both places confirmed that Strength will be sold at Nordstrom and all MAC stores. Initially I thought only freestanding stores will have this collection, but now that has changed. I didn't know about this prior, so for anyone curious.

I've heard different things from different people. What I'm doing is going to a freestanding store first, but also calling the Nordstrom close to me in the morning before opening to hold the items for me. There's also online, but at this point, I have no idea when that'll be.

I just did a live chat and they said it would be at all locations, but then I called my local Nordstroms and they said it was MAC store only, so I guess I'm going to have to count on going to the MAC freestanding store bright and early. Maybe I'll happen to catch the online release before everything sales out

My Nordstrom SA says the collections are listed in the book even if they're MAC store or Macy's exclusive for example so LiveChat could have it wrong if they don't know the ins and outs of MAC collections.
