^^ Thanks for the review and the story about the opera! You look very beautiful! Lou-ling is gorgeous, I don't think it will look like that on me, but I feel I need it. I don't have any RAS. I haven't purchased anything from the collection. The perfumed powder is amazing. I gave it a spray and it not only smells good, the shimmer is stunning. I have last year's so I pass this time.

The RA Hydrating lip colours look very pretty. I love such pinks!

Something strange is happening at Shoppers Drug Mart.

I went to my local Shoppers this morning and they just received Guerlain's holiday collection -- even though I was told weeks ago that Shoppers would not get it (it was exclusively at the Bay). Weird!

I had bought the few essential items I needed at the Bay and now I don't know what to do. I went through the five stages of grief when I realized I couldn't buy the entire collection with my banked Shoppers points. So, I'm kinda "over it," but Wulong is still calling my name.

Wow, this is interesting news.
all the shoppers near me that carry guerlain told me that they are not getting the collection at all...so i bought my must haves at the bay also...(not with my banked points also.)

That is weird. I haven't seen it at any SDM locations thus far (although I wasn't really looking, since I understood they weren't getting the new collections any longer, just adding the new perm items to the existing displays). I was able to get my goodies at Murale, which allowed me to use my points, but there's only one Murale in Montreal, whereas there are dozens of Shoppers that are more convenient to get to. Wonder what's up with that. I wish these companies would pull together their Canadian strategy.

After reading the 'Balkz' talk, as they so affectionately called here (wouldn't the Guerlain designers of this MU phenom laugh if he knew that's how they are referred to round here). I bought the Dragon Ball Z (that was a big anime type hit with the kids I taught at my first teaching job-lol) but have yet to receive them yet. I know they are a little more sparkly, so I need some guidance, 1. Do I need the special brush that is made specificaly for this product? If not, is there a MAC brush that does the trick? 2. Did anyone buy the special Pucci designed brush & bag set? If so, how is that brush? Is it the same quality of the 'regular' one they sell? 3. Should I buy the 'regular ballz' for my everyday needs. If so, what one do I reach for? I'm NC20...I'm confused of which of the 3 regular ones to buy. Many thanks! Hope everyone is wonderful!
I cannot advice on best ballz but I am sure others can. Re: the brush, I think that using a MAC brush that works well for face products would be preferable to the Guerlain brush, the MAC brushes are softer. I didn't get the Pucci brush, but I would like one just to look at. I did get the Pucci ballz, but wonder if there is too much blue in there to use them? (Personally, I like applying with the spongy/cloth applicator thingie or my BE buki)

Some of the ballz are more sparklier than others, I think if you go up the thread (back a bit) there is a rating where the ballz are rated from most to least sparkly. I think the set of ballz that will work best probably depends if you are using all over, as just highlighter, or trying to tone down a specific skin tendency (tone down red, enlighten sallow skin, etc.) so how you plan to use the ballz may help guide the recommendations.

On a related ballz topic, the Spring 2013 ballz look divine!

Coup de Foudre!

http://bestthingsinbeauty.blogspot.ca/2012/12/guerlain-ecrin-4-couleurs-long-lasting.html

Looks so incredible in these swatches, although I wonder how the coral shade compares to the coral in Les Fauves. Honestly, I don't really care, because I'd buy the palette for the other three shades even if they were similar.

Pretty sure this will be my biggest Spring haul.

Coup de Foudre looks gorgeous, the mint is my favourite. The swatches look very smooth and pigmented. I might cave for it and the RAS, but I'll try to stay away from the counter when the collection launch so there is less opportunity for that to happen.

I think I'll just get the Coup de Foudre quad and skip these meteorites. I really love my Dragons ballz and I think I'll like those better than the spring ones.

I finally tracked down the new spring meteorites at my local Nordstrom! The packaging is so cute, though I do wish they had gone with a metal container. The pink powder puff is to die for. The meteorites are exquisite and didn't show up sparkly when applied with my Mac 138 brush. My container had very few silver balls which might add the most glitter. They were not as shimmery as the dragon balls, nor as matte as the permanent ones. They added a perfect glow. $70 is expensive, but worth the splurge for the LE product.

I think I'm going to have to see them in person before I can make a decision. If they are too similar to the dragon balls I'll probably just go for a permanent one like rose. I won't be going to the bay area until Feb so I'll just have to dream about them until then...

The only product that interests me right now is Coup de Foudre, but what am I going to do with the coral color?
