Though swatches are pretty on instagram, I don't like relying on them foe true color since instagram is filter land! Filters definitely change the color of makeup. I generally go off of blogs, and specktra member's pics

What do you all think of 275 and the 168 brush?

The 168 has been on my to-buy list for quite some time. I hear it's a really good brush for contouring and highlighting. I'm going to get it later. There's way too much other stuff to buy right now.

Ok girls, I got my absolute power in the mail today and Libia was sooooooooo right. It looks awful on the stick but it looks so pretty on.  This is my first time posting pics and doing this comparison pics so I am a little embarrased of posting my mouths all over the internex machinesss haha. Anyway, doesn't it look super deep in the tube?  From left to right: Red Racer, Russian Red, Deeply Adored, Charmed I am sure, Absolute Power.    I am not sure about my skin tone since I wear Laura Mercier most of the time but  I do have a MAC face and body foundation in C2 and a Studio Fix in NC15. 

GURL YOU ROCK THAT LIPPIE. Excuse my drool. I can't wait to get my paws on this LS!

The 168 is fabulous, it's like the perfect three-in-one for your cheek products -- applies highlighter, blush, and contour like a dream! I've had mine for over a year now and use it almost every day

They're saying xmas eve for online. I love the 168 for creme blushes. Not a fan of the the 275 at all.

I'm just gonna say it again: Strong Woman is not at all like that intense Instagram photo. Not one little bit. Strong Woman is not at all like Seductive Intent, Heroine from Reel Sexy, or Violette If you have one or more of the latter three, you don't have anything like Strong Woman. I'm NOT saying anyone has to have Strong Woman, just that it's not in the same color family as those three. It's cool rosy color, not a bright purple. It's a red-purple, not a blue-purple.

I wonder how it compares to WW spitfire?

T mentioned the 24th for the online release but TT was released before it's online date.

I have the 168 and really like it. I haven't had it too long yet tho so am still playing with it since I don't do my face everyday. I stay at home most days since I have an almost 2 year old. I need to get into the habit of getting out more often lol. I do play when I go out or am just bored lol. It's really soft and fairly dense. It is more precise than the 129 which I have also. It's definitely a quality brush. I haven't played with the 275 at all as I don't have it so I'm sorry I can't help with that one. The brushes I would check out in store if you can and are willing. Petting brushes is kinda relaxing.

here she is! im glad i chose the right quad bc by the description it made it seem like the darker color was green but it's not. It reminds me of the Perverted Pearl quad (color wise)...and it feels super dry..but im going to play around with it first with swatches. But i like it. I can dig it lol

It's somewhere between Bust Out and Heroine on me, but closer to Bust Out. It's got more depth to it, due to it being so matte, but it's not as blue or as bright as Seductive Intent by far. It's a grownup color - something you could WORK with a severe black pencil skirted suit, high necked blouse and chignon.

I don't have spitfire, but from what I remember, spitfire is redder and a bit brighter - it almost looked plum on my lips, while SW definitely is a subdued purple.

The sad thing is, even when we start getting more swatches, this one is going to be tough to photograph to show all its subtleties.

Same for Absolute Power - I missed CharlieKelly's post until now, and her lip photo is nice, but it doesn't even get the full fabulous cherry-ness of it. It's the matte texture…very hard to capture the subtle color shifts from the fuller and more shaded parts of the lips.

I have a fluffy 168 (and a smaller fake one) and I love it! I used both these brushes this morning and thought 'wish I had another fluffy 168'. I love it for creme blushes and even pigmented powder blushes (like Hidden Treasure this morning). The 275 is ok. Depends how you use it. But like 168, the head is quite wide, I use it mainly to put shadow on and then blend with others.

I love the 168, but for some blushes, the 169 works better. It's similar to the 168, but with synthetic fibers that works extremely well for blushes that are less powdery. I was hoping for a repromote as I want more BU's.
