Pink Pigeon and Taupe Shape blush for sure. I'm more warm toned but I love PINK lipsticks!

I got a shipping confirmation yesterday! I ordered Party Parrot and Absolute Power. Pink Pigeon was already sold out. Hope MAC will restock the collection. I'm wondering if I should rush to a MAC store tomorrow morning. I'm still not 100% sure. I was staring at the swatches of Pink Pigeon and Quick Sizzle until I fell a sleep last night.

Yeah it's pretty lame that there hasn't been a code. I tried a bunch of possible words but none worked

not at all.  there are a lot of people who similarly feel better knowing they aren't going to run out of a product they really like, works well for them or that they wear often! i don't think people should feel pressured to back up things just because they're LE before they've even tried them irl, unfortunately the way these collection releases go, that's what a large number of people have resorted to. it seems like a lot of people eventually realize which of their backups they need to hang on to, and which they can safely let go of, at which point the clearance bin comes in handy for sales and swaps!

Yeah, making so many LE collections sure adds pressure. I need to remember that there will always be other colors & brands out there that I could possibly fall in love with that's not LE so I wouldn't have to worry about stocking up. Maybe I'll go through my collection sometime & check out the clearance bin (if I ever gain access to it lol) Thank you for being the voice of reason! You've helped me keep my sanity

How did you get an invite to that? I was realllyyy wanting one!

I was at one of my local MAC stores talking to my MUA about the upcoming collections & that's how that came about. Nothing out of the ordinary. You may want to check with yours to see if they're doing anything special. Good luck!!

You've helped me keep my sanity

sometimes you've gotta go through that Back Up Mania phase…I know I have.

I started out never even considering backing anything up. Then one or two colors came along that were so unique, I just had to do it. THEN, some colors came around I thought were so unique, backed them up, then suddenly MAC started doing similar colors every other collection - some even better than the ones I BU'ed (CYY, I am looking at YOU).

Now I'm trying to be careful about what is so perfect and unusual, it has to have a BU, or not. For every Go For It or Restrict, there's the millions of hot pinks, corals, magentas, that keep coming back, often a little better each time, or at least more in fashion for that year. Not to mention, the more lipsticks I have, the less chance I'm going to finish any individual one.

And yes, the good news is that if you do find a surprise color you wind up using all the time that you didn't back up, there is usually a kind Specktrette who's got one to swap or sell you! It's happened to me (thank you ladies - you know who you are!)
