I'm not blonde but I'm fair skinned. I assure you it's not vampy or "too dark". I think it will look lovely on blondes.Hello guys! Has anyone seen Strong Woman swatched on a light skinned blondie yet? I've been looking for a purple lipstick, but I'm afraid this one might be a bit too dark for my complexion, making it look vampy instead of well... bright - in your face! - purple!
I love Pink Pigeon, having used it from the original release. I passed on Party Parrot and whined w/skipper's remorse for months. My Party Parrot should arrive today and I expect full bright love. Have to love those brights---and if the color makes our CC happy how can that be bad?I love Party Parrot! It's in your face bright and something about the color just makes me happy. A liner is needed to make it wearable, but it's so worth it. I'll finally have my mitts on Pink Pigeon tomorrow. I swatched it in store today and know I'll love it.

i think the lipsticks and eyeshadows are more universally exciting, unless the blushes suit your particular skintone!I forgot all about this collection. I'm skipping ahead because I'm over 1800 posts behind. I really like the 2 blushes on Christine but I may skip anyway. I don't have to own all the blushes, right?
it swatched pinkish brown on me...kinda like a rose brown....

I think NYX Pinky will pair better with Pink Pigeon. I use NYX Plush Red for Party Parrot. I prefer liners that are slightly darker than the lipstick when I wear bright colors. It helps better with the transition from the skin to the lipstick. I fill my lips with Plush Red then apply Party Parrot over it. It's still bright, but not "why did she leave the house looking like that" bright. If I feel like toning it down a bit more, I use a brown pencil close to my skin tone to outline my lips on top of the lipstick. For me, it's usually MAC Cork or NYX Toast. I use other brown liners too, but nothing too dark like MAC Chestnut. It will just kill the brightness of the lipstick too much. I then go back and reapply Party Parrot to the center of my lips to brighten it back up a little. What liner do you use with Party Parrot?
Cracking up right now....You make me smile, too.
Nice comparative analysis! As far as Party Parrot goes, I only have MAC's Lasting Sensation, What A Blast & Entertain Me, all in the orange family. In the red family I have MAC's Beet, Redd, Throw Me A Line & Free Hand. I guess I'll need to see what works best when my Party Parrot arrives this afternoon. My goal is to keep the color as true as possible, but to make it more wearable for my skin tone. If I want to manipulate the color, then I normally use a purple lip pencil. Here are the NYX dupes that I think are the closest to the MAC purple lip pencils in my stash.
MAC Magenta = NYX Purple Rain
MAC Plum = NYX Never
MAC Currant NYX Currant / NYX Deep Purple (they're close, but still off)
MAC Vino = NYX Plum
MAC Nightmoth = NYX Y2K
That's right, it was your post that I was thinking about. I compared tham and you're so right. Strong Woman and Hoochie are nothing alike. Not even close.I posted a comparison pic of the two a few pages back! So if you look through the pics, you'll see it. Nothing alike!
