Hi guys -- any comparisons or dupes you recommend for Hot Chocolate? I have Glamour Daze and are these close to each other? Thanks!

You said it so much better! I loved Naturally and bought many many items from the collection last year but nothing is wowing me on this one. I am hoping I can make SR work but that might be more from being hopeful than it actually working ;) I just love skinfinishes so much! lol

I feel like we are getting a lot of MES that look cool in the pan but resemble so many previous shades that they are not really something you wouldn't mind passing on if you already own a lot of MES.
As you are NC rather than NW, you might be able to pull it off - at least it won't be as orangey as it was on me :)

Let us know how it works out for you.

Hmmm, see the nc nw stuff confuses me. I've always been matched nc in MAC, and I have yellow undertones. But I find cooler colors to look better on me them warmer colors.

Maybe you are NW after all? Or is an NC foundation a perfect fit for you?

Everytime I'd get matched at a MAC store it was always nc20. I used to wear nc15 but that but still seemed too dark. But just by looking at nw15 it looks too pink and too dark. So I use mufe's hd foundation, I wear 117 ( for light skin with yellow undertones) and it's pretty much a prefect match.

I just got to play with my goodies - I had a dentist appointment this morning, picked my goodies up afterwards and now, hours later the anaethetic has worn of (after 8 hours or so *groans*) I was able to try and swatch them and do some comparisons.

Apres Chic is quite similar to VG Cyndi on me - Cyndi leans more pink on me, though. Haute Altitude is much lighter and pinker than Mehr and Hot Chocolate is darker and more purple then Till Tomorrow PLW. I'm very happy with my lipsticks!

I only got two MES, Silver Birch and Frost at Midnight. Silver Birch is smooth and a nice complex colour - I'd describe it as a silver with gold shimmer. Modern Pewter is quite similar, but is more metallic with its golden sheen. Chanel Epatant is much greener. Frost at Midnight was the only one I swatched in store and wouldn't normally have bought, because I was a bit doubtful about the pigmentation of the swatch, but my MUA did a lot for me during the last months and shouldn't have put my stuff aside (as she did), so I got it regardless. I'm quite disappointed - it's very hard to swatch and not as smooth and creamy as previous MES. The light over here is atrocious today (picture me puzzling over my hand swatches, peering closer and closer), but the colour itself is quite similar to L'Oreal's Infallible in Metallic Lilac. Metallic Lilac has more of a silver sheen in comparison to FaM's silver sparkles. Chanel's Illusoire is redder. I tried it over various bases and have to say that I love it over Catch my Eye f/l from the holiday collection. It adds a very nice gold duochrome to the colour. I like it better than over a purple p/p, maybe it makes the colour more complex.

I hope that my little comparisons were still helpful for someone who couldn't see the collection yet!

I got a chance to finally see the collection today and I was surprised to see everything still in stock. I went to the freestanding store in Minneapolis that usually was very busy, but they had everything, including the Strength collection with all the lipsticks except Firm Form.

I got Haute Altitude, Apres Chic and Silver Birch. I thought I would get Frost at Midnight, but it was just too sheer for my liking and I couldn't get it to blend into the crease without looking patchy.

When I got home I found that Apres Chic reminded me of a warmer, more opaque Hot Tahiti, which I love with my skintone. At least in the bad lighting I have now, they almost look identical, save for the translucency of Hot Tahiti. It is probably my favorite of the collection.

I tried the MBs in store, but my skin has been quite dry recently from skiing, so the blushes really didn't melt in the way I wanted and just looked powdering on my skin. I may look at them again later though.

So did you skip SR, Alpine Bronze and Amber Glow? Did you get either Warm Companion or Cozy Up? I thought they would be frosty mess or too orange...

Well, not helpful for my wallet... you made me place another order right now. Mentioning that Silver Birch is less green than Epatant made me rush to the website and hit submit in no time

(four orders in one day are totally normal, right?

) I spent more than I should've.

Ordering online today was CRAZY! Everything sold out so fast on most websites, and by fast I mean in 5-10 minutes!

Like Stereo Rose, all the lippies, Frost at Midnight, etc. I'm SO glad I was able to get everything I wanted.

I got to a counter to see this collection in person today.

The lipsticks are all amazing. I picked up Apres Chic immediately as it's already sold out on the UK site, and I'll be ordering Haute Altitude and Hot Chocolate too. I didn't even bother swatching the others, way to warm for me. Hot Chocolate was really interesting on my hand, definitely looks like it will lean more plum on me (as Glamourdaze does). Haute Altitude is gorgeous!

In the Mineralize balms, I got Rosy Romance to start with. Have it on now and I really like the feel and how it looks - pleasantly surprised by how pigmented it is, but it's lovely as it blots down with wear too. I swatched Pure &Tender and Stay Warm, thinking that Pure & Tender would be my favourite of the two, but Stay Warm got my vote so now I know I like the formula I'll get that one.

The MES were a bit meh, I really love the Heavenly Creature ones but the only ones I'm interested in this time round are Silver Birch and Fireside (which was the last item in this haul).

I looked at Amber Glow and the MSFs, but I wasn't bowled over. Porcelain Pink was pretty, but I didn't feel like I had to have it. SR unsurprisingly way too warm, I only swatched it so I could say that I had LOL. Amber Glow was also too warm, and way too sparkly for my taste for a blush. In fairness I only swatched it with a finger, so a proper application may sort that out, but the colour rules it out in any case.

Finally I tried the Mountain Air PLW liner - I love teal liners, and this is a must have. Beautiful! As it's perm I was going to wait a little longer to get it, but as I'm passing on the blush I might just add it to my order now
