Hello ladies! My apres chic haul came through the mail this evening!!!!  Here's swatches on my NC42/43.5 skintone... stereo rose alpine bronze mineralize blush   stereo rose and alpine bronze swatched and blended cozy up, haute altitude, hot chocolate lipstick cozy up lipstick haute altitude lipstick hot chocolate lipstick cozy up, haute altitude, hot chocolate lipsticks swatch  half n half - yash - cozy up - honeylove, mac comparison lipsticks angel - haute altitude - mehr - pink plaid, mac comparison lipsticks   hot chocolate - verve, mac comparison lipsticks I like everything a lot! Cozy up is a little peachy orange than a nude on me, but it's nice paired with boldly bare lip pencil. Haute Altitude is a really lovely pink and it's nothing like mehr lipstick the two look completely different on me when swatched so owning both is fine for me (I've seen people compare it to mehr claiming it's a dupe I wasn't so sure when I tried it on myself). Hot chocolate surprisingly I've really fallen in love with, the plum doesn't show through so much when applied on my lips, it's almost a nude brown on me, but swatched on my arm the plum is apparent in it - verve I'd say is the closest colour I have in my collection to it. Stereo rose is gorgeous I'd seen plenty of swatches online and am so pleased I got to purchase it with this collection, Alpine bronze is absolutely gorgeous, I tried it with a bronze makeup look and over gingerly blush this looked so nice, it's definitely a summer staple for me and works well on it's own as a blush or highlighter. :eyelove:

Hot Chocolate is the most gorgeous lippie in this collection

I had a feeling it was going to be an HG nude for a lot of darker and cooler toned folks!

The brown shows pretty strongly on me, which is pretty dramatic, but if I use the pale pink balm on top, all the lovely mauve and plum starts to come out. So versatile.

Even still, I'm having trouble picking a favorite lipstick - so many of the colors are perfect for my skin tone, with all that yellowish peach and apricot - even Apres Chic is sort of a yellowish red (without pulling straight orange). Last year's Naturally lipsticks were all unwearable for me - too cool toned and pastel - so it's nice that this year's crop feels tailor-made for the 'ole NC lovin'.

Like Vampy, I finally got my order from 12/23 today! I already tried Mountain Air PLW e/l in the store and fell in love instantly, so no need to try that on tonight. That's already something I would back up like crazy if it wasn't going to be perm. Haven't tried the MES on my eyes yet, so I'll have to post my thoughts on those another time (I got WP and SB). But I did try my Hot Chocolate lipstick! It is SO different from EVERYTHING I have. It's such a perfect plummy brown on my lips! It's kind of like staring at Love Goddess from the MM collection, where some people will think it looks more like a bright red and some will think it looks more like a bright pink. I have a feeling that with this one, people will be squinting at my lips trying to decide if it looks more brown or more plum. Liner and gloss are going to be big factors with which way the color leans! LoveloveLOVE this lippie!!!

I also ordered the Pure & Tender lip balm. I've only had it on for about 15 minutes, but I really like it so far. It has just a barely-even-there-hint of tackiness to it that makes it feel like it's not slipping and sliding all over my lips (kinda felt that way with the lip gelees), and it gives just the right amount of color. It puts life back into my lips, which aren't super pigmented naturally. It doesn't feel waxy like many other brands of balms I've tried either. If I continue to love it through the rest of tonight, I might have to pick up a couple more tomorrow. I agree that the price is ridiculous, especially when considering how little a tube it is. But since I've tried so many other balms over the years and still haven't found one I'm completely satisfied with, if this ends up being my HG lip balm, it'll be worth the extra money to me.

Hope everyone else who has been waiting gets their goodies today too!

I might be the only one but I am most excited for them since I am a sucker for lip balms AND new products!
I've been wearing them nearly every day since last week. My lips had been really torn up from a cold I was getting over and now they're looking and feeling really healthy. When you're wearing the balm, it doesn't feel instantly nourishing like my old Clarins balm (that was discontinued
th_stormy.gif
), but it's leaving my lips all healed up. They seem to nourish the lips even when you wear them on top of lipstick too, which I'm pleased about. The price is not cheap, but that Clarins balm used to come in just as small a tube and was even more. Now they only make one with all sorts of lip plumping and other bells and whistles, rather than just 100% hydration.

it leans brown on me too and typically I hate brown on me. But I'm sticking with this. Love your Dervish suggestion. I used the pale pink lip balm n it today too, it was very pretty, but it took away from the flatness for me.

I bought the balms without knowing the price. So they didn't feel expensive when I bought them til I realized the price on here. LOL

Hot Chocolate is a lot prettier than I expected. But I pretty much know it wouldn't look good on me. But I'm loving it on everyone else :)

That is really a good thing. The nourishing effect might be particularly helpful if I am wearing frost lipsticks e.g. that tend to be a bit drying on my lips.
And I think that the frost finish paired with the glossy sheen looks pretty.

Here in Germany it is 36 Euros....
Some of the EU prices are really ridiculous! I love to visit MAC stores when I travel abroad, but I have to remember to not get caught up in the thrill of buying makeup and determine what I'm really paying after the conversion -- it's usually enough to stop me in my tracks and my wallet is grateful for it.

I ordered Apres Chic lippies but I would like to purchase the Alpine Bronze Mineral Blush but I'm not sure how it would look on my skin tone which is NC50. I see know one has purchased. Also, see thread: What is YOUR 2013 First Makeup Purchase?

Unfortunatly yes

And they should really be the best reason for not getting (too much) makeup here!

I got AC yesterday, I'm so happy, it is beautiful!
I am very fair, NC15 in Studio Sculpt is a perfect match for me, but AC looks kind of natural on me, if it makes any sense.
The formula is really nice, just like Glamourdaze's lipstick.
The collection launched here yesterday and I got the second last one from AC lippie. :O

I also tried on Amber Glow, looked really nice and peachy, but not too shimmery.
My sister bought it for me as a present for my nameday, so I couldn't make a pics from it, since "it is a surprise". :)
