MAC x Archie's Girls (Betty & Veronica) Collection Discussion (February 2013)

I signed up for the event taking place at my store on the 5th of feb. this is my 1st time attending a "special viewing" event so I'm wondering what I should expect? I was planning on stalking the site regardless to order my must haves and then go to the event for backups and to check out my "maybes".. Or should I plant to get everything until the day of the event?

I think I want all of Veronica's lip products and a couple from Betty's. I'm only going to get items that ill actually use, even if the packaging is adorable... So with that being said maybe 1 (if any) of the pearl mattes and maybe 1 blush. I'm truthfully looking forward to the lipsticks

I'm always most excited about the lip products lol ;) I'm going to my first preview event on the 5th also. when I signed up the mac girl told me there's loud music, we can test out the makeup , there's alcoholic beverages, and buy the makeup. I don't know when it's launching online but it's usually a couple days before the official launch date so it might be Early in the. am on the 5th or that night. hard to tell! either way I say get what u want the most first either way. I will not be stalking because I have to use cash so I hope the lipsticks I want are not sold out by the time I get inside ;( I will be very sad and buy something else! lol I want everything else but I need the lip stuff! but at the store I go to , they only let in a few at a time. it is a very small store! but everyone. comes to this mall. from like hours away lol. i guess it really is the best mall around!! here in California there's a mall In in every city! I'm in the middle of 5 malls lol but only 2 sell mac. I will stalk the 3 counters if I have to tho lol I did it for Marilyn I was at the mall at 7am (3 hours early! but yes I was first in line lol) I hope we get all our lippies!! ;)

So much excitement going on in this thread!!! Glad the pictures are starting to come in now...and I'm sure we'll see even more over the next couple of weeks! I'm still not totally sold on this collection as a whole because, based on the pictures, I feel I have near dupes for a lot of things. There are definitely a few things I would consider must-haves for my collection though, and those are the main reason I'm forcing myself to save the rest of my gift card from xmas until it releases! I agree 100% with those who are waiting for the lipstick finishes before making a real decision on those, and with those who are generally speaking not into the quads that come out with collections. I'm also hoping we see some more non-instagram pics before I have to make my choices because the filters always mess with how the colors look in reality.

Lol ! Thank you ;) the week before I stayed up until 4:30 am to get my stuff online! I only went to the mall for my cousin ;) and to get the blushes that I didn't get online. I said I'd never do either one again.... but that was a. lie I think lol

This might be a dumb question, but do we know if that's US price or Canada?

And totally did not expect Betty Bright to be a Satin for some reason...
